Have you gotten your "OTA" yet?

Thanks Ock. After a few days have gone by and I've come to realize it was very few that got it, I can understand the skepticism.

Yes Froyo tastes great. The speed is amazing. Animations that used to hang up a little are perfectly smooth now. I love the little additions like a lock sound when phone is locked or unlocked. I haven't really found anything wrong with this build so they have to be close to releasing for all.

No problem. If you get another one though, we want a URL this time. :p

I dont remember seeing a URL anywhere during update. Where would I find it if this does happen again?

You don't accept the OTA, but don't dismiss it.

Be ready with an app from the market called alogcat. Set it up so that it grabs the logs, and emails them to you.

After running alogcat, verifying that you got the logs in the mail, accept the OTA.

Give those logs to a known developer. Not just anyone, your phone number or email may be visible in them. The info needed is in the logs.

Ok I've got that set up. Thanks

I just find all of this fascinating. Is there a way for j-mar to work with a developer to dump what he did get, to see if it works for others? Just curious-- and please don't call me stupid to my face :o - I'm just trying to make sense of the stutter-step that google seems to be dancing.

Nah, it doesn't really matter now. Cyanogen and others are hard at work with the final 2.2 build was released to open source last week.

With links for FRF50>FRF83 all over the place, I say to every N1 user, get it and load it up. It's a truly awesome build.
