okay thanks! and what version should i do of it? nd what if i come to some kind of problem flashing it? lol im so scared of messin up you have no idea! lmao

wow im an ***** didnt realize your comments went to a dif page lol well ill do all that tonight. thanks again!!

the Droid X is almost unbrickable, as long as you can get to the bootloader screen
just use the DX (MB810) ezSBF & Root 2.3.4/4.5.621
or RSD Lite to flash a .SBF to restore (Stock Rom/Firmware)
to restore.
so should i have this on my phone before i even start with doing the rest?

i already have that modded dx bootstrap from when u told me the link before, thanks again btw, and i just put the ics zip on my dx so all i gotta do is flash it but i think ill skip making a nandroid backup cuz i made one just last night so no big deal really i guess and if so then oh well i dont feel like doing it again welp...here i go!...again

Thank you shadow for your time you have really helped! :) in 10ish minutes im now on 4.0.4 fast and snappy and clean i think ill enjoy but thanks again and keep up the good work!

yea so...it works great and all and it has superuser...but with root checker it says i dont have proper root access. i tried to reboot my phone to see if thatd fix it iv even messed with the settings of superuser some. should i try framaroot and unroot/ root that way or will that totally mess everything up? :/

got it to work. sorry again lol but is there a way to switch over to supersu? or am i kinda stuck with superuser?

I have LiquidICS 2.0 currently on my X and its very sluggish with several multi-second freezes and also tends to crashe alot. I was thinking of installing this official ROM and see how she flies.

What are the steps I would need to do to accomplish this? I can find plenty of guides to upgrade to a custom rom, but no idea how to reverse the process. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

1.You should create a nandroid backup in cwm before flashing rom, so if you don't like the new rom you can just restore the old one

2. liquidics 2.0 should run pretty smooth, did you verify md5 checksum before installing?
MD5: 146ebb264d20a482dac470ef8c6be19c
Verify that your download is complete with MD5/SHA-1 Hash Checksums

3. to restore stock use 621 sbf and rsd lite or ezsbf 621
see my links
Using RSD Lite to flash a .SBF to restore (Stock Rom)
on Droid X (Shadow-MB810)

or
DX (MB810) ezSBF & Root 2.3.4/4.5.621
