2150 mAh battery and I LIKE IT!!!!

When I first got my 1750, I thought I was going to need something like this 2150 because it just didnt seem that much better than the stock one, but after 5-6 full charge/discharge cycles, the 1750 has been great. I take my phone off the charger at 6:30am and make it 11:30 pm with no issues. Primarily lots of email , text, gvoice, seismic, and doubletwist podcasts. Bummed to hear you are only getting to lunch, maybe you got a bad battery.

I concur with the others who don't like it. That thing is pretty bad looking. It's a lot bigger than I thought it would be, think I'll stick with the 1750 it does just fine for me ;)

Oof, what a monstrosity. Every shred of elegance gone in favor of a few hours of battery life...hope it makes that hunchback worth it for you. I can see why they weren't in a big hurry to get that thing out in the wild. To each his own...

It would have been fine if they had raised the whole battery door and not just the battery area.

i am surprised how large it is, if that is the size of verizon's 2150, then i will wait for a seido extended if they make one, cause they should be able to make it smaller and more mah.

i dont know why american companies dont make cells for mobile phones. in the RC plane industry the lithium polymer cells from china are cheap as sin but suck, the ones made in america like thunder power makes the best ones. i dont know why thunderpower doesnt get into the cell phone battery business!

What kind of battery life/usage are you getting with the 1750?

edit- I dont' think the 2150 looks that bad and think I would prefer the additional battery life over the size.

I use my phone heavily and i've seen near 12 hours of battery life. The only times i have seen less is when i am at school because not only is my phone off the charger from 830am until around 8pm BUT i use my phone literally every second i am in class and to entertain myself on my 2 hour break. Seeing as how i have 4 classes on school days (3 of which i can use my phone) and a 2 hour break, thats about 8 hours of PRIME phone using time and if i were to round that down for the sake of accuracy i would assume it would equal out to around 6 hours of extreme use (couple hundred texts, email, twitter refreshing every 5 min, web browsing, occasional music, app store exploring, flicking through the home pages rapidly when im bored, and the occasional game.)

with all that being said i think the battery does just fine haha.

p.s. i hope that made sense, its 230am, i just finished writing a report, and im not about to proof read my post. hahahaha

Add me to the list of people that love it. I actually can hold it better now and it fits just fine in my packet as before. I just need to find some type of silicone case to go with it. I am a happy. The 1750 (for my use) was no different than my OEM.

My 2150 will be here today, however, I must be in the minority... Yes, the phone looks really nice and sleek with the stock back... But I have not once looked at the back of my phone unless I'm cleaning the lense or cleaning some dust off of it... Even when I show people the phone, they look primarily at the screen with a quick glance at the back. The only comments I get on the back is "2 LED's for the flash?" No one ever says, "Wow, the back of that phone is bangin!"

I still don't think the back looks that bad with the extended back on it, but I am definitely going to be happy with extended battery life...

just took delivery of the Verizon 2150mAh battery with case and contrary to what i'd initially thought after seeing the photos; i find myself actually preferring the extended back to the original!

where the original INC is very sleek, it was just too thin for my taste and just didn't hold in my hand as surely as the new back. Now, with the case extended; there is a bit more to grab and it's even more assuring to hold and not be worried about accidentally dropping it.

don't know about actual up time yet, but will have that after a few cycles.

If i find that the battery does indeed provide a substantial increase in uptime, i'll be putting my OEM 1500mAh and Seidio case up for sale; $40 for both.

How has your battery life been with this new battery since yesterday?

No but with that on their they are going to say something about the back of the phone. And it probably won't be what you want to hear lol. Each to his own, wouldn't mind the extended time, but I do care about form over functionality in this case, especially considering my 1750 gets me through the whole day just fine. Guess it depends on how badly you need that extra juice to decide how you feel about this one. Can't imagine how bad the 3500 is going to look......

Not to mention it also breaks all the cases, holder, cradles etc etc etc for you to use.

If you look at the 3500 on the Eris from Seidio's site... It looks like a second phone taped to the back of the original... Would have to rename it to the Droid Hulk...

Yeah but you know they are going to try to figure out how to make it still have the ridges on the back cover. It's going to be horrible. Instead of hulk I'm thinking more along the lines of two face, so pretty on the front so ugly on the back.

I feel like the Hulk or Two-Face right now... Just called to get tracking on the battery... The idiot put it in for 2 Day shipping, not overnight as he said he would... I worked from home today so I could specifically be here and sign for it... Man I'm steamed...

Seriously folks, I like the way it looks. The extra bulk will give it more of a solid feel.
As it is right now, I feel the phone is too thin( thats just me) so the extra bulk will suit me just fine.

Pics look different than these

I don't understand. The pics posted here in Android Forums: 2150mah Extended Battery + Case - Page 3 - Android Forums, Post #123, look different. The Camera and LED lights look more flush. So which ones are the real OEM pics, and why do pics from different users all look different. The Android Forums pics look like the battery door is not so bad and does the battery door justice. I don't know what to believe.
