3, 3XL or 3a XL. Which one to pick?

I've never regretted buying my Pixel 3XL altho my wallet would prob disagree

... I may grab a Pixel 3. I didn't want to and wanted to wait for the 4 but honestly, the 4 doesn't seem to grab my attention. I guess we'll see.

What device are you currently using?
I too do not have much interest in the Pixel 4 based on current leaks. The aesthetic is actually less appealing to me and I am not wowed by the gesture controls. Time will tell I suppose but I'm on about two months of using the Pixel 3 and loving it.

As it seems now it seems that Android Q’s gestures are a mess, and the leaks suggesting you can control the phone by swiping above it (like what HTC did) is concerning, as I’m not sure many people will like that.

I am using the Google Pixel 2! The 5" version. I love it so much! Yeah, time will tell, not sure... But as you've said, current leaks aren't that impressive (to me anyway) as yet!

Used one of these in between P1 and P3 - excellent phone that served me well. I think I kinda sorta liked it better than the P3.

It is a wonderful phone! It's so hard to give it up. The 3 looks cool but I like moving to other manufacturers when I upgrade. Did you have the 5" version or the 2 XL?

I'm looking at the 3a (replacing a S7) for the missus - it's got all the power and bells and whistles she could ever need and use.

Regarding the Google photo storage: Am I reading correctly that when it says photos are stored at "High Quality", and says if over 16MP they will be downsized to 16MP.

If the 3a camera is 12.2MP, and creates files in the 3-6MB, then aren't they being stored at their max resolution anyways? Or does the internet keeping repeating some sort of tech spec mistake? Or I'm too dense to pick up on something obvious?

I had the 3a xl and while it is a great phone I wanted something a bit smaller. The xl was just too large IMO. I found out that beat buy had the 3 on sale for $500 so I went ahead and got one. I miss the headphone jack and plastic body but everything else I gained was well worth it.

That's awesome! What colour did you get? If I were to get a Pixel 3, I'd get the Not Pink version (or white if the Not Pink was unavailable).
