till my 30 day Sprint return policy is up since I got my EVO on opening day. Im still very much on the fence about keeping this phone. As I said in other posts...Im just not excited about much especially having come from the 4G. I would say the battery life, sense, glitches and the horrible rear battery door are the things I dislike the most. I read yesterday on BGR that the Galaxy S2 will FOR SURE be coming out in August...so now I'm wondering should I keep the 3D? Return it in 3 days for a refund and wait it out for the GS2?

Anyone else considering taking it back?

No I am keeping mine for the long haul! I love this phone. If I got paid for every time i saw a 3D vs. SGII comment in a post I would not be typing this from work but a beach because I would be retired. If you dont like it, maybe it isn't the phone for you and that is the benefit of the 30day policy, you can try other things. I personally love this phone and it IS out now, unlike some of the other phones (e.g. SGII and Phantom). Chances are a person will find something wrong with any phone they own. The real question is, "Is it something I can live with? and/or Is it something I can alleviate when I root?". I love these phones because they are so customizable and configurable to meet most needs. Please dont respond back to this saying how the camera sucks or the radio sucks and that cant change, etc. I get the challenges with this phone, personally I don't have any. I know others do, however, I am keeping this thing! Sorry for the rant, just my 2 cents

I am keeping my evo 3d, everytime i watch the Green Hornet i apperciate the phone bit more :D

There's a lot better videos than that one that show off how awesome this phone is...I even have iPhone fanboys drop their jaws when I show them the phone...

I will be keeping mine until the next gen EVO comes out, I've fallen in love with the HTC phones...Yes, I had a NS4G and an EPIC and I must say, I am not impressed at all with Samsung's devices, and don't get me started on how much I despise Motorola...Yeah, I admit it, I had a Startac...

It seems to me that everyone who's asking or considering returning their Evo 3D really isn's on the fence about returning it ... It seems to me that they really want the Galaxy S2 ... But since it hasn't been announced yet they are unwilling to commit ... Most of the people that need our opinion on if they should return or not would not be considering if no other phone was looming around the corner ... Here is my opinion ... If you like the 3D keep it ... If you don't, return it ... Regardless of what phone may or may not be released.

Galaxy S2 is going to be priced around $350 and yet has the very similar specs like evo 3d has yet I am not sure it is going to be 4G like evo 3d is.. I read the specs and there wasnt any info for 4g speed for it.. I may be wrong... but anyways I am happy with my evo 3d.

If your thinking about it and have to ask us just return it... Its that simple, we shouldnt have to convince you to keep something you like.. Good luck with touchwiz and the GSII seems like a nice phone.. But whats funny is you guys will wait for that and since it has been taking so long to be available in the us I can guarantee by the time it comes out, another phone will be announced that will have all of us foaming at the mouth... lol

All the people holding out for the GS2 are reminding me of the Pre3 holdouts (of which I was one). Also, it seems like quite a leap of faith to trust Samsung with anything these days. And even if/when the GS2 comes out on Sprint, will it be a perfect device? Every single one of those Samsung phones is going to be flawless? I trust HTC to stamp out bugs exponentially more than I would trust Samsung.

Im with you on that one.. I wanted to try a galaxy s phone too because the camera's are great and I love super amoled plus... But I really dont trust them with updates.. HTC has taken very good care of the evo line.. The epic still doesnt have Gingerbread.. SMH!

You also have to remember that Samsung gave the Cyanogen clan an SGS2 so tha'ts already a plus in owning one. I'm on the fence too but I'm afraid of having 3d screen withdrawals if I return it. HTC just have ways of drugging up their phones so you get addicted. When I bought the Evo4g last year I couldnt give up the kickstand and 4.3 screen for the epic either.

I could NEVER go back to a lower resolution that is Galaxy S2.

I really dont think you will be able to tell the difference. If you still have your evo 4g try it. Download LCD density changer and change the resolution to like 200 or less. I forget what I ended up with on my 4g but it matched the 3d icons etc and man I couldnt tell the difference anymore. Images on the 4g got sharper. So I can imagine how clearer the SGS2 will be if you change the density on it. But still its not 3d capable.

I could never go back to Samsung. Its ridiculous that my coworkers get roaming 3g with their evos and I got 1x with my epic. Goodluck with CM7 on a CDMA Samsung device... apparently it can't be figured out for the Epic team. No camera or 4G support. MMS doesn't work, but without a camera, that seems to be a moot point most of the time.

Why do everyone still say this? It's terribly wrong.

Evo3D will have a whopping +35.1% pixels. Where is that screenshot of GS2 and Evo3D side by side showing Google page.

GS2's Google page is cramped. Evo3D's shows ample space.

I want to keep my evo 3d but the data problems are killing it for me. Does anyone know if this problem will be taken care of in an update? I can't go through all the crap again as I did with my pre- ! I want this phone but if HTC can not fix the data issue I'll have to turn it back in. :(

Tru dat same here

Yeah thats what Im thinking...and honestly I havent used 3D in over a week now...would much rather have a better camera and screen.

The galaxy s 2 will have the same fate as any of the other us variants of the galaxy s. Never updated and get behind, fast.

Where in the world did you come up with $350? Sure smells like you pulled that one out of your ass...Sprint is not going to release a phone over $250

I definitely see what you are saying...I know HTC is better with updates and has a bigger dev community. But I do think the GS2 seems to be a different breed coming out on Samsung...and with a huge following will = updates and community.
