.35 Gingerbread/ICS Kernal

BLUNTMAN! need your help, i'm getting stuck at that exact step, cross compile thing.

It seems like your CROSS_COMPILE command did actually go through, it is the make clean && make mrproper command that isn't working. Are you sure you created the appropriate shortcuts to where the tools are located? If all else fails delete the files and start over.

Good Luck!

So I deleted everything and it still didn't work. I'm gonna try a new installation of Ubuntu.

You should be using fedora 16. I can only guarantee that it will work with the instructions provided on fedora 16

Could you send me screenshots of EVERY step you are doing? I'll try and take a look to see if i notice something. Did you get fedora 16? I followed that video exactly just replacing things as needed and as you can see from the other screenshots it worked. I have done it a few times now and its worked everytime. I am still researching how to add patches and overclocking. Haven't had much time last couple of days.

Ok gonna do it right now....
and i can't because i have no cd/dvd's to burn. besides, he did mention that i can use ubuntu because it's the same process.

You can use ubuntu, but you have to download the correct packages for use with ubuntu. Refer to the blogpost :

sudo apt-get install -y build-essential kernel-package libncurses5-dev bzip2

This is the command you need to use to install the correct packages for ubuntu. You did do this already right?

Also, if you have a usb stick just create a fedora 16 bootable usb stick and boot your pc from it. Then install fedora. Make sure you have partition space available.

The only thing i can think of is that fedora has some packages needed that ubuntu does not. As soon as you can get fedora i bet you'll get it! If it's working for me it has to for you also. But if you could, send me those screenshots and i'll take a look.

just wanted to say thanks for all the continued hard work you guys are putting in and especially thanks to arjen over at xda for stepping in and showing us how its done. i look foward to a complete kernel and offer my lg thrive to any rom and/or kernel testing that may be necessary.
