.35 Gingerbread/ICS Kernal

Oathkeeper. Will it be Thrive and Pheonix? Because I know the current one I use works better on Pheonix, and on my thrive the blackscreen bug is unbearable, doesn't turn back on, but for on one GB rom, and any ics roms i can get working.

Update guys, arjen told me that he will be working on the gingerbread kernel first as he says that for ics he needs to backport the drivers. More to come.

That's great news. Let arjen know if they have a donate link then I'll chip in a few dollars for the effort.

Me being on an lg thrive, I should have no issues right? The lg thrive never got the official gb update but since its basically the same phone and the rom is custom it shouldn't matter?

I looked at this thread to find out about updating lg thrive baseband but the link there leads to nothing about updating lg thrive baseband :p

Also yes, regarding the post above me, i'd expect any blackscreen bugs would be fixed with a proper kernel.
Although with joban .32 black screen bugs and even raenyes .35 kernel I have found patterns of turning the screen on and off trigger the bug, and I can time turning the screen on and off just right to turn get the screen to come back on without having to pull the battery. Still annoying though.

Well the only problem I would believe there to be is that these kernels are for new bb I think. But I may be wrong. I guess well have to figure that out ourselves!

Would even be happy with another "baseband fix" if it was just flashable after install. Not sure if that would work though.

Every day, as soon I have internet access, the first thing I open is this page to review the progress of the kernel, now that I look that arjen working on the kernel, I can only be happy.

Thanks to all developers who work so hard to compile the kernel!

Keep it up guys!! :) :)

Hi everyone,
First started on the ICS kernel ;)
It was rather easy because I could use our modified kernel source for ICS :D

For everyone who knows how to build Roms, I have put device folder for P505 up on our projectpage, vendor files are also there. On building the kernel gets builded also.

I will give the full CM9 build a try, but if anyone else wants to try, you're welcome.

Working on it for the Thrive also ;)

Well then, is it safe to say this thread can be closed?

Thread will still remain open, it serves a purpose as a general discussion thread for kernels.

Umm... has anyone seen this [YT]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nzkQ2Lyj7o[/YT]

Edit: Changed the link, it's the same video but from the original uploader

I edited my post above to link the same video from the original uploader, it was uploaded more than month ago, the copy was uploaded yesterday which is why I found it first, it also doesn't use arjen's new kernel so it might be a little dated, but still nice to see ICS on our devices.
