3rd triumph, camera broken again

ive gone through 3 motorola triumphs on warranty already..
each time i get a new one, the camera stops being able to focus after a month.
anyone else have this problem? is it hardware or software?
everytime it tries to focus it makes a single clicking sound in the lens and immediately focuses to closest possible.

Did you try a third party camera app? At least that might tell you if it is hardware or software
