4.65" screen a joke? Or is it just me?

can't believe the amount of complaining over small stuff like this...

It's a phone. It's an awesome phone. It happens to be the best phone i've ever used. It outclasses my tablet in performance.

The screen is beautiful. Blacks are black. Colors pop. Resolution is amazing. Text is crisp and clear even at small sizes.

And best of all, our phone is directly supported in aosp.

And some of you are complaining about the buttons?

Are you people serious?

I think alot of issues people are having with these phones wouldn't have been a problem had people actually research the phone for more than 3 minutes. The google bar and on screen buttons thing has been known for well over a month now.

But if they actually researched it they wouldn't be able to come here and about it. People like to complain. I mean seriously this fact has been known since the nexus was announced. Maybe the OP lived under a rock and just came out yesterday to get the phone?

For those of you trashing on the Nexus due to the search bar etc lemme throw this at you. It's simple, if you have the phone but hate the way it's laid out you have choices other than taking it back. Of course you would want unlock and possibly even a custom recovery. Takes maybe 30 minutes if you're good with multi-tasking and can understand written instructions the first time through.

actually even when buttons are in use, the screen is measured diagonally, so the screen is still wider. length is about the same as 4.3 when buttons active, but still wider.

Umm...just a little bit of "captain obvious" but a 4.65" screen is still a 4.65" screen...regardless of what is being done on the screen. Whether it's buttons, a status bar, a widget, an icon, whatever. The displays size is 4.65"...it's not a joke, it's FACT. If you don't like how the screen is utilized, that's on you and you have the right to return it, but saying it's a joke is just wrong. It's a 4.65" screen...that's just all there is to it.

He really should return this phone and go back to his Droid X. The Droid X is a better phone. I mean...Who needs a phone with no lag? That's just silly. Stalling when you try to go from one home screen to another is half the fun! And all the new features and improvements of ICS? That's just more stuff I have to play with to learn. And who needs Google when you can use Bing like on my old Fascinate. I mean...Bing gives accurate search results every now and then. I think I've found something useful on there once or twice after about 20 minutes of searching.
