Go to manage apps and look at all of the apps and u will see it there. It's 0.00b and it uses every permission I can see. What is this for?

I assume it manages the SIM card. Do people with GSM phones see it as well?

Not sure why, but my Gingerbread Charge deleted a lot of stuff on my homescreen. Not everything, but lots of widgets and shortcuts deleted. 4G may have gone out at the same time.

I just looked at my phone and I now have an app/icon for SIM Toolkit? Anyone else seeing this?

I noticed that the SIM Toolkit showed up on my phone about a week ago.

the sim toolkit has been on my phone since i got it (around the 17th i think) when i try to open it it does nothing

Still having very sporadic 3g for days now and starting too Piss me off tech tier2 at VZW says I need a new phone find it hard to believe though . Anybody else still having issues?

Still having sporadic 3g issues here too in southwest Georgia. I was on vacation in panama city when the issue started on Monday. But now that I'm back in Albany, and after power cycles and air plane toggles, still get loss of 3g and sometimes voice too.. no 4g here so I can't report on that.

I just get the no signal icon. Then 2min later get service. Its happened at random...

Ugh like now!

Just got my Razr today and I thought I got a bad one. Said I had an invalid SIM or something and I didn't get any 3G data or LTE.

All this about an hour after I got the phone. I went to VZW and they said it was due to the outage so... woo.

I was affected here in Iowa. Data speed is so slow its pathetic right now, no speed test app though.

Jk from before. My download seems like it's capped and throttled...hmm... But upload is consistent and strong around 6 mbps.

Well supposedly in some parts of the country the outage was fixed people are getting their lte back.

LTE returned yesterday afternoon in Orange County, CA, and then was gone again by the end of the night.

Very sporadic out here in Detroit. I'd hope verizon would be able to address this issue in a timely manner.

I heard from a Verizon rep that the outage was caused by the Galaxy Nexus. Interesting if true, but he said it happened with the Charge and the Stratosphere, too. He says it's why the Nexus launch was pushed. Who knows?
