5.0.1 for Nexus 6?

I tried the procedure again this morning and it worked this time. You have to force stop then clear the data and it worked for me. Updated to 5.0.1. The first time I tried I pur my att Sim back in while the update was downloading and it immediately went away and said I was up to date. So att is doing something

Clear the data? Do a factory reset? Please let me know the procedure.

I would try the reset data first. Factory reset if that won't work. Whatever is easier for you. I backed up with super backup first and had no problems.

I turned off the phone. Took out the Sim. Turned the phone back on and force stopped google services framework then deleted data. Then restarted the phone and checked for an update and it immediately popped up. Downloaded and installed. I will warn that gmail wouldn't sync correctly after until I deleted my account and then put it back in.

I'd say unless you have serious issues with your phone, connectivity or what not then just leave it alone and wait.... I got the update on mine (Bought directly from Motorola and using it on T-Mobile) a few days ago and I've noticed no difference at all... Day one I lost LTE for about 6 hours but once it came back online after awhile I can't tell any difference in anything....

Yes this WORKS!!
1. Turn off phone.
2. Remove Sim card
3. Turn on phone, go to Settings, Apps, look for Google Services Framework. Force stop it, then clear data.
4. Restart phone
5. Go to Settings, About Phone and System Update
Should show up right away, click on it, let it install and everything. Do NOT put the Sim card back in until update process is finished!
Good luck!!

This is just crazy, since when did we ever have to jump through hoops just to get a update on a carrier? I am not sure why ATT haven't pushed it out yet, but they need to get on the ball

Myself and my co worker both with at&t purchased N6's got 5.0.1 the day it released so I don't think it's at&t holding up the updates.

Did you have any issues with synching your google apps or any other issues after clearing the framework?

No, I went and checked all my Google services and synced each one individually and everything works. The only thing that didn't seem to work right was a game app, Words with Friends. I uninstalled/reinstalled it. All is well now.
