Good Morning all,

I have had my Verizon Note 3 for about a week and it seems that im getting the worst battery performance. I had my phone plugged in last night when i went to bed ( phone charged to 100%) left for work this morning @ 100% its now quarter of noon & im at 53% WTF. anyone else having this issue, not sure if its a bad battery or just the usage of my device. I had an iphone before and battery life seemed to be much better. I love this phone but this issue has got to go.

So 18 hours with 53% left is known as battery sucking? Name another phone that can last that long.

I know it shows that in the picture, but it is not realistic now its 12:26est and my battery% is at 40% down 13% in lest than an hour while my phone has been sitting on my desk

Something is wrong, and when I mean wrong I mean with what your reporting. The screenshot says 18 hours but your claiming to have reported this 11:45 but had it plugged in all night. There is no way possible of this happening

I'm also noticing no mobile signal.. In the graph but also in your screenshot. If you have no signal it's going to not help with battery life.

Have you tried turning useless stuff off? WiFi, 4G, apps

I know my battery dies very quickly because i am in a 3g/4g area (both with like 1 or 2 bars) and it waste the battery trying to get signal. Anytime I am in a 4g area battery is perfect.

Ditto on this here in Md.

If you don't have a good signal, your battery will DRAIN. This was the case at my job until they installed a repeater. Since then, my battery life is great. Put it into WIFI only mode.

At least switch off mobile data.

I'm getting over a day of battery life with my 3. Try not leaving in on the charger all night. Once it's at 100% take it off. Also, let u battery drain out completely before you attach it to the charger.
Like some of the other replies on this thread, when at work try turning off the bluetooth and wifi features if u are not using them. If u have wifi at your job and don't really use your cell phone, u can put it on airplane mode and turn on the wifi feature only and that will conserve battery life drastically. You can always toggle airplane mode off periodically to check voice messages.

Good luck and i hope this is helpful for u!

Dont let your battery die. It should only go down to the low battery threshold. For more info on this check out Foxkat's explanation on droidforums.net

Only let it drain periodically once a month. Otherwise you'll just be killing the battery. We use lithium ion, not NICD

Even once a month it shouldnt go lower than the low battery threshold. Its bad for the lithium batteries.

Maybe twice a year?

Lmao. I never let mine go. Per Foxkat thats an easy way to shorten your battery's life. I follow strict guidelines with my battery so I can get the most from it.

I have gotten 2 days on a single charge on my Note 3 and at least a Day and a half...

This is what I got for today. I just finished using my phone on the overhead.

I ordered the hyperion 6400mAh extended battery off amazon, I've always purchased Seidio extended battery since the ****ty Hero came out and i have to say that this by far is better than the seidio because of the longer life, still slim and half the cost. This lasts me all day with no worries and high usage. Might want to order one yourself.
