Re: The wait is over

Phones4u contacted me today to say that we're in stock at the stores because I registered interest. Little did they know I had pre Ordered via them anyway and have had the phone a week or so lol.

Haha all part of the service lol they may be enticing you to purchase for a partner or relative :-P

Just happened out of interest to have a look as i knew something was mentioned about May 1st. I thought that may have just been continuing fulfilling the pre orders.

But wooohooo transpires its not and my Z2 is on its way :-)

You will love it.

That im sure of, for a good while i have bought into the gimmicks of Samsung, and as much as i have enjoyed them. Its now becoming pointless, do i want a heart rate sensor, or fingerprint scanner that is annoying to use? Nope.

Im not saying the S5, or the Htc M8 are not great devices.

But the Z2 offers that Focus on what i feel is important, great build, camera captures great pictures (Not Perfect but what smartphone camera is?) Great Specs that will provide a smooth experience, Media focused features, 4k recording, noise cancellation, improved screen, light Ui, great battery, waterproofing, performance with saving features, storage expandable upto 128gb ect ect.

For me the Z2 is perfect, and yes i think i will enjoy using this for a couple of years :-)

Re: The wait is over

Camera is absolutely excellent on this phone. Very good indeed; check out the photosphere I took on it with Google Camera in another post to see how impressive it is. The noise cancelling headphones are amazing too - I was in Tesco earlier and its weird, you can't really hear anything except the music! Mind you, I soon dumped the Sony skin and installed the GEL. The battery is brilliant too - my M7 is currently on 30% and my Z2 is on 60%. Both were unplugged at the same time AND I have been caning the battery on the Z2 watching films, playing music, downloading etc etc

The SD Card nonsense that Google have now introduced is VERY annoying. Basically, it's almost impossible to put stuff on the SD card now unless you root - which itself creates all sorts of problems. I've found I can put stuff on it using a PC via cable (except I have a MacBook... groan) but you can seem to copy stuff onto the SD Card via file commander, as long as its form an external source. What a faff!

Thanks yes i have checked out your pics and very nice indeed, that was one amongst many reasons i opted for the Z2.

The wait had been crazy, and hadn't i noticed Phones 4 u had available stock, then with www.mobilephonesdirect.co.uk, i would be waiting until mid/late May.

Glad to hear about the noise cancelling ear buds that was another, the build, the waterproofing, the light ui, battery life, improved screen tech.

Its what i want a media device, Samsung are somewhat boring me with gimmicks now and heavy skins. As much as i enjoy my Note 3, i think that will be my last regardless of what the Note 4 provides.

Oh and got my Z2 in white :-)

What version do you use? I use 4.2 but the wifi problem could be my recovery its an unofficial clockworkmod. I couldnt get the official one from rom manager

I am also using 4.2 with lean kernel, data and everything else that is required for use as a daily driver is spot on.

Could be your recovery or perhaps try a different kernel in the Aroma setup.
