6.16.215 ics update leak

I am not seeing that great of battery life either. During the day with the phone on my desk at work I noticed I was losing about 3 - 4% battery each hour. (at the end of 12 hours I am down to 50%) Depending upon which battery monitoring app I used, it would either show the kernel at around 20-30% use or the Android System at about the same level.

To distinguish between a bad signal or rouge app I put the phone in Airplane mode. Still had the same level of drain. I did another wipe and factory reset and just installed a few widgets from the market. Again still had about the same drain with the Android OS at 25%. The only apps I used was the stock alarm, stock music player, and downloaded ES File Manager. The widgets were a clock/with weather and Widgetdroid. That's it.

Tonight I did another factory reset, and I am not going to install anything and just use the stock music player and track the battery drain when the phone is just sitting.
Any Suggestions?

I have been on the same battery charge since monday morning and I still have 50% battery left. I have been texting, calling and surfing the web also. I wouldn't say I'm a heavy user but I do use my phone moderately. I did install a 4g toggle app from the play store and I have been using that to switch to CDMA auto(prl) so not sure if that is the main reason for the long battery life but I know with my regular razr I was lucky to get a day out of the battery but now with the maxx it has been good. The only thing I haven't done is install Facebook again since I got my maxx but that is probably something I am going to try with the next battery charge to see how much that affects my battery life.

Anymore confirmation of better signal or if the radio is even different, I need something for 3g data drops and poor overall signal

I've been running this leak for two weeks now both rooted and unrooted and I've noticed very little battery improvement. What I have noticed is a snappier OS. My phone signal was never strong but never a problem, and I've noticed no difference there either.

i use Juice Defender Plus, it cuts off data when the screen is off. it takes less than 10 seconds to get it back when i cut the screen on. the only data im dropping is intentional... no worries or complaints on my end.

This is a continuation from my last battery screen shot post from yesturday. Moderate-Heavy use synced to wifi running leak .215 haven't plugged it into the charger yet. Still haven't made it to day 2 on a full charge.

After a new factory reset and wipe x2 of the cache, and installing no apps or updates from the play store. The only thing I used was the alarm and did a few texts. After 13 hours I am down to 60% battery. However I spent 3 hours in Airplane mode with all the radios turned off.

I still think something is running in the background eating the battery, my drain rate is about 3% an hour, while in Airplane mode, it still seem to be around 3%, so I don't believe it's all signal related. I guess I can always root and see what happens. I might try and go back to .211 and do the same tests for comparison to see if .215 does offer any benefit.

Could you take a screen shot of your running services and post back here. Actually take a screen shot of how you normally use the phone and one right after a reboot.

I suspect the Android OS has a service or something that is running in the background, and on some versions of the hardware might be having an issue. I could compare your screen shots to what mine is doing if you are up for it.

Thanks

These are shots after a reboot. My display settings are set really low. For example in a bright room or outside i can barely see the screen. As far as usage: mainly texting/e mails

Thanks,
That's pretty much the same stuff that I have running. What is interesting is that your Android OS is a lot lower usage than mine; mine is around 28%, and I am running less then you are. I just don't get why the usage is so different. Maybe I am going down the wrong rabbit hole but other than that I don't see much difference. The only other thing I can think of is a hardware version difference, but who knows. Long and short I guess we will have to wait until the official OTA release/fix is sent out.

With all said the Maxx still gets better battery life then my HTC Evo with the extended battery. Also the voice quality seems better with Maxx, but that could be a Verizon vrs Sprint thing.
