.6 Gigs Used During Activation!?

So I share a 2GB plan with my wife and we hardly even come close to it since we're almost always on Wifi. Activation at the Verizon store literally took almost 45mins. 2 days later, I got a warning that I'm 75% through my data allowance and I'm 5 days into my cycle (only 2 days w/ the phone). I tracked down usage and it appears that when I was at the store getting it activated, it used .64GB during that time. WTH? I'm going to call VZW and get them to credit me that somehow.

Is this crazy?

Happened to me. I had the w-fi off. I had no idea it would burn up that much data. For me it was almost 1 GB. I use T-Mobile.
