6+ months is too, too, long.....

Very true. Personally the Iphone is just too small for me.

Also, I have read so many posts from people saying the Iphone doesn't have this or that problem, just to have me google the exact same problem on the Iphone and finding multiple posts about it, on various websites.

In my opinion the major plus for Apple is how quickly they get updates out.

Personally, I have too much pride to lower myself to get an iPhone:cool:. By far, the easiest Android phone I've ever dealt with was the "OG" Droid. It had it's share of issues, but it was too new and fresh for me to care, I remember being just thrilled with it. From there I had the Fascinate, Incredible, Charge, Incredible 2, and now the GN. And even though I will not lower myself and join the masses to get an iPhone, I envy the diligence of Apple in pushing out official updates. Whether someone decides to root their phone, or not, 6+ months is too, too long to address serious issues. If you signed a 2-year contract, you are a quarter of the way through without being satisfied with your purchase.

You've already lowered yourself by claiming to be better than iPhone users.

I honestly don't understand the whole IOS vs Android fight. Or the my Android phone is better than your Android phone fight.

Some people like one operating system some don't. Some like the Max some like the Gnex others like a Rezound.

Its personal choice and preferences based on what you feel is best for your particular likes and situation. It really amazes me how so many people can go from 0 to total ass in 2.5 seconds over a phone.

Phones are like politics, oh you may win an argument once in a great while but you can't convince the other side they are wrong. They will not persuade you that you're wrong. And the common ground is too vague. But if I like my phone and hate yours, now we're talking.

In the future where Android has a 90% market share, I wonder what phone people will use to not lower themselves?

In the future we will have a Bluetooth 7.0 microchip implanted at the base of our cerebral cortex.

I think it is a case of the grass is always greener. I think people will find that the iphone doesn't necessarily live up to the hype. Iphone isn't without it's own set of problems.

Well turns out work will not pay for my phone bill any longer and I have to get a phone from them. Sooooo, i'm getting the next iphone in addition to my GNex. I'll let you know :)

I look forward to seeing your eBay listing for an almost working Galaxy Nexus.

Please provide a link to anything from Verizon saying it is a "developer phone."

There is a Developer Settings menu on the Galaxy Nexus which does not appear on non-Nexus phones. Galaxy Nexus is clearly steered towards devs and hardcore power Android users and people who like ROM and kernel flashing.

Not to start a pissing match (honestly), but if what you said above is true, why is our warranty VOIDED if we root and rom? Just askin......

So verizon don't have to pay when you eff something up while rooted. Not all gn users are developer types. Is my educated guess. :p

The answer is simple. It's because Verizon sells it, not Google directly as the Nexus line was originally intended (you CAN get the GSM version directly from Google). The Nexus line is 100% designed as a developer phone. Does that mean it shouldn't work properly out the box? Of course not. Fortunately, mine and many others did....super beast now on custom rom and will be with its dev support for quite some time:D

"The purpose of the Nexus phones is to offer a "pure Android" experience,[1] in which the phones come free of carrier or manufacturer modifications and with an unlockable bootloader[2] to allow for further development and end-user modification.[3] Nexus phones are considered the "flagship" Android devices."

So does this mean that if we hard bricked (if even possible) while rom'ing our phones, possibly Google would repair and replace if Verizon doesn't? Or does that apply only to the GSM version?
