6+ months is too, too, long.....

I mean it might not be. I love to root and ROM until im blue in the face. I just have issue with doing it because I have to. lol

Some are zealots for one side or the other.
Either; shutup and root, or I shouldn't have to root to make it work as advertised.

It seems not very many can see both sides (I do), and that's why these girlish little catfights exist.

Yeah, saw and read this the first time you posted it. I still feel based on what you write, you don't have an opinion. I guess that's the trouble with people who attempt to straddle the fence. No hard feelings though.

Incidentally, I don't give a rip whether or not people root/unlock or not. I don't care if people don't like this phone. Lemons happen. Some people have rotten luck. My biggest gripe out of this whole argument is peoples inability to be proactive. Either ditch the phone, hound Verizon for the option to swap to another phone, try your luck at warranty replacements, or root/unlock it.

I basically quit posting here when I got the Galaxy Nexus. If the phone works there's nothing to gripe about. My wife has the phone as well. I haven't had any issues with the phone. She's having the reboot issue from time to time.

I think the network issues depend on where you live. I haven't had any issues in Florida.

There's no doubt people are experiencing issues. I'm just not sure it's as widespread as some people believe.

imo carries should update on moth 3 6 12 18 24. this is fair 3 since a new phone like the nexus at 6 month needs raido upgrades. For big red it's better less updates cost less mony and you use less data that should be illegal.
I totally agree. There has to be some structure to addressing bugs and improving performance. Actually that was the spirit behind starting this thread. Regardless of what side of the fence you fall on, you have to agree that if a phone has bugs/issues that impede its performance, it SHOULD NOT take 6+ months to address those issues - especially if there are leaked updates that suggest that there are working fixes that have been out there. If the manufacturer doesn't have all the issues resolved by the 3 month period, well, give us what you've got and give us the remainder at the 6 month period.

My opinion is pretty clear.

Yawn.

I guess you put all us non-rooters and complainers in our place.

Dang... I had an LG Touch before this phone. This is the best thing since sliced bread. Actually, my son -in -law suggested that I buy this phone. I now know why my daughter married him. He's a smart guy. Although I realize it is not for everyone, it has been a good phone for me.

Actually, at least in my opinion, excellent advice is recommending people seek out the phone that best suits their needs.

Huh, you again? I can't even compliment someone else without you showing up. You're like a fly that won't go away. I have no desire to get drawn into your pissing match again so please skip my posts and I will do the same for yours.

Anyone have a fly swatter?

The ugly truth is, they need to collectively wake up and pull their heads out of their bums or they're going to lose customers to Apple and to other carriers. I know too many people that used to be die-hard Android fans that are taking long, hard looks at iPhones for their next phones because they're tired of their phones not working properly (and not just the GNex). These are software devs too. These aren't non-technical people. They're tired of crappy phones that don't work right.

Google, Samsung, and Verizon need to get their crap together. None of them are the only show in town and they're alienating people with crappy service.

What, you didn't feel me swatting you in the face? Perhaps I need to hit a little bit harder.

Hey look, it's the guy that can't make up his mind. He hates the Galaxy Nexus and its problems, then he loves it an there are no problems with the GN (and we are all crazy that say there are issues) and then he is waiting to see if the update fixes his GN before he switches to the Fighter.

Which side are you on today?

Next person who acts in a manner that breaks any rules will cause me to go back through this thread and give infractions for every single instance I can find, regardless of who posted it. A quick glance tells me this will likely result in more than one temporary banning.

The ball is in your court, gentlemen.

Yeah, noticed that after the fact; however, does the misspelling detract from the intended intent of the word? In fact, kinda funny that you're almost whining about me misspelling whine! :D Oh, the irony!

There was no whining in my previous statement, merely a request. Therefore your use of the word irony is also incorrect.

As for the topic at hand, it seems that my GNex is in fact doing better at holding on to a network connection while using the newest 4.0.4 radio files. Although, the signal strength hasn't improved.

I think it is a case of the grass is always greener. I think people will find that the iphone doesn't necessarily live up to the hype. Iphone isn't without it's own set of problems.

Very true. Personally the Iphone is just too small for me.

Also, I have read so many posts from people saying the Iphone doesn't have this or that problem, just to have me google the exact same problem on the Iphone and finding multiple posts about it, on various websites.
