64 or 128 GB

For me it's simple. I don't have unlimited data with AT&T. I spend a lot of time flying. Even though the free photo storage is nice, I would like to access my photos when I'm in the air or not on wifi. The need for storage has gone up for me over the last decade and the thought of only having 64 gigs on my phone in 2020 is just downright scary. Unless I get unlimited data, my songs and select photo albums are staying on my phone. Not to mention the movies I watch when I'm on the road. I also assume I'll use more storage in the future, because that's just how the world works.

I ordered the 128GB Pixel 2 XL as my main phone and a 64GB Pixel 2 as a backup. I could probably get by with 64GB in general but liked just having the extra headroom in case.

I'm coming back to Android from iPhone. I have a 6S Plus 128gb and only used about 30gb, so I went with the 64gb XL.

I went with 64GB. I've had 64GB for over 2 years in my Galaxy S6 and the most I've ever used is about half that.

I got the 128gb just black. I've always had sd cards on my phones so I went ahead and ordered the larger storage. Just in case.

I went with 128GB. I plan on going all out with this phone.... music, pics, games, etc.

Yeah, this year I'm going big for once...128GB and I'm "pinning" my entire music collection to it pretty much. Being on Fi, I only pay between $21-33 a month for service, but if I streamed my music it'd be a lot more. I'm going to pin the **** out of my music with this baby.

Why do you need a backup phone?

I don't NEED a backup phone but why not?

Every year I splurge and buy myself a launch day Nexus/Pixel. Last year I got myself a Pixel XL and also bought my daughter the smaller Pixel. She has since moved onto an iPhone. Both phones are paid off.

My Pixel 2 XL 128GB order after taxes and the 2 year protection plan is $1,164.24
My Pixel 2 64GB order after taxes is $700.92.

Total of $1,865.16

I'll trade in my Pixel XL and Pixel from last year so they'll give me credit of $770 ($410 and $360)

That brings my Total down to $1,095.16

I'm on T-Mobile and 2 of my sisters wanted to switch over to T-Mobile so I just put them on my plan. Since I just opened two new T-Mobile lines I'm eligible for their Pixel promotion that gives $325 for a Pixel 2 if a new line is opened. Since I started two new lines and am buying two new Pixels they'll give me $650.

My total cost of buying a Pixel 2 XL 128GB AND a Pixel 2 64GB will be $445.16. So again, why not? :)

64 because i dont download music anymore and i can archive pics and vids to cloud for free as needed plus i will probably get the 3 anyway if google offers me as much trade-in as they did this year for my original pixel xl ($410)

I went with 128GB as I have a YouTube channel and I will sometimes use my Pixel 2 XL to make videos. And of course videos require a lot of storage. If I'm out for the day, I don't want to run out of storage space.

I went with 128 even though I have got nowhere near the 64gb of my 6p.
Just don't know where I'll be in 2 years with 25gb data a month. I have several films from Google and lots of music.
Main thing though is I get 20% discount on the monthly bill so the difference is minimal

What are most of you guys/gals going for when ordering, 64 GB or 128?? I'm still trying to decide. With free unlimited photo/video storage the 64 would be ideal, thoughts?

I went with 128gb. I hate thinking about storage concerns.

My Pixel had 128 Gb and I never came close to using it up. I ordered a 64 Gb Pixel 2 and a SanDisk 64 Gb flash drive that plugs into the phone's USB C port and my laptops USB A port for $20. Now if my phone gets full from multiple videos while on vacation I can just download them to the flash drive even when I don't have a PC nearby.
