16GB for me. Just so I can store a few movies offline for the kids to watch on those long road trips.

Newbie post!
I am torn between which one to get.... I have a Seagate Dockstar (Pogoplug) which I have 8TB of drive space on so as long as the Nexus supports Pogoplug I am good to go and I have all the cloud space also... so do I really need 16GB???? But then again all my iPads are 16GB..... I guess I am now leaning towards the 16GB model.....

Yeah the 16 only a few more bucks.. or use the extra bucks and get the 8gb with a case.

Are you saying because of the chrome browser? You can still download a third party browser that still supports flash.
I can't do less storage than my phone. So it is going to be a 16GB for me. If I wasn't always house hopping with crappy WiFi or near no cell signal I'd go for the 8GB and cloud storage more of my crap. Looking forward to playing my games and reading my books on an easier to carry device than my old TF101.

At the rate I am going they will be on the Nexus 7 Version 2 which will of course have a micro-sd slot for adding memory and it will be pointless.... Lol ;-)

For sure. No matter what Amazon does, any new Fire won't be on JB, won't be quad-core (yet at lease)
6 months down the line more android tabs will be looking like this. But if they delivered this in only 4 months, then when others start to catch up, it will release an newer/better model that will outpace everyone again.
$156 promotional price for 64GB? This is SSD definitely and like carrying another phone around.
MicroSD slot could have this same amount for only $50-65 and nothing else to carry. PO'd with ASUS and Google over this.
I didn't say it was the most economical, but it's an option. I like it because I can stream to multiple devices simultaneously. This is good for my kids who might want to watch different movies on a car trip.
It's really light & slim too. Slips into a pocket in a messenger bag or backpack with ease. I always carry a messenger bag around, so it's no big deal for me.
Like I said, just providing the option. You can be pissed off all you want, but it won't make the micro sd slot appear. So those that still want the nexus 7 can now see that its not so bad.
Definitely the 16 GB option. Completely worth it for just $50 dollars more.

I tried cancelling my 8gb order so I could order the 16gb. The phone rep said I would receive an email confirmation of the cancellation, then I could just order the 16gb. I still haven't received an email and when I call back to 1-855-83-NEXUS the recorded message says the number is no longer in service. What is going on at Google?
