Hello,

I have an A14 (SM-A145R/DSN) here that is stuck with Android 13 and Security Patches from November 2023. To my understanding, there is both an update to Android 14 and a security update from May. I am trying to figure out why the phone is not getting the OTA update. Smart Switch also claims it is up to date.
The software information on it says
Baseband: A145RXXS4AWJ1
and Software-Version below is SAOMC_SM-A145R_OXM_EUX_13_0061, EUX/-/EUX/O2C
I assume this means its CSC is EUX. Does O2C mean it is branded for a carrier? Could that be the problem?

Thanks for your help!

Welcome to AC!
EUX is the carrier. Download latest Frija tool from XDA site and see what the latest Firmware in Frija tells you , if a newer one available you will need Odin also to flash the firmware

Thank you for your answer!
Frija indeed says there is a newer firmware available. I can flash it through Odin. I would like to understand though why it does not show the update OTA. I don't want to flash the phone every three months for the security updates!

Welcome

It could be a device not in your region or simply at some point there was a conflict from the previous software version that didn't allow it , like in the US the Att versions had that issue that it would get stuck and once in a while had to flash it to get back on track

Thanks! The device was bought in Germany and is used in Germany. I am wondering whether I should flash it and hope that this will get it back on track, or simply as the seller for a refund.

You're not in Germany?
I would ask for a refund instead of going through this and get one in your country

Yeah, I asked them. I am in Germany. By the Samsung Forums, I was told the third CRC-part means it was branded for Czech Republic originally. and that's the problem.

That is correct product code O2C is for Chzech Republic.

Will they accept the return?
