A51: Viewing files via USB extremely slow since last update

Is anyone else experiencing extremely slow performance viewing files via USB since the last update ? It was always a bit sluggy, but since the last Samsung/Android update (now on Kernel version 4.14.113 of april 5, 2022) it's become unbearably slow. It manifests when I connect my A51 to my PC via USB cable, then use Windows Explorer to view the contents of the DCIM/Camera folder.
It also manifests when I connect to the phone from a C# program on the PC using the MediaDevices package (so, also via the same USB cable). In addition to that, the package no longer returns some date fields of images, like DateAuthored. They've really buggered it up for me...

Welcome to Android Central! I moved this from the Galaxy A5 forum (which is specifically for the old A5 phone) to the Galaxy A Series forum (which is intended for the more recent Galaxy A phone line).

Thanks for your reply ! I have tried your suggestion six times now, taking care to push the buttons exactly simultaneously, and letting go as soon as the Samsung logo appears, but it absolutely refuses to bring up that system menu and just boots normally. Any ideas ?

Hmm, the steps from that site aren't always accurate. And now I can't access that site because it seems to be down.

Try the steps from AT&T under "Alternate Reset" (but obviously, instead of choosing Wipe Data, make sure to choose Wipe Cache: www.att.com/device-support/article/wireless/KM1382971/Samsung/SamsungSMA515U
