I am on Incredible number 3. Dinc number 1 kept switching off and on the data connections. VZW said it was a known issue. Dinc 2 had a sticking power button. Im hoping Dinc 3 works. Cool part is...Dinc 3 is on backorder and they aren't sure when the warrant replacements are going to be available. Im not sold on HTC's build quality.
To get subsidized pricing its every 10 months on a 1 year contract.
Can you refer me to where it says you can upgrade with subsidized pricing every year on anything other than a 1 year contract?
I have until July 1 to return my Inc. If the X is announced on June 23 and it's available for pre-order that day, I may just return the Inc and get a cheap phone to tide me over.
Were you talking to me or the OP? I've had my Droid for five months now and I'm eligible to upgrade in January so the new 2GHz Droid will be out by then. I'll definitely look into it if I decide to upgrade then.
There is an additional fee but sometimes reps can waive it. The fee is $18.

repost: Anyone know the answer to this?
Thanks I didn't know that. So say if your phone breaks at 1year and 1 month, it will obviously cost a lot to buy a new refurb to replace it, so can you just sign up for a new 2 year contract and pay $199 for a new phone plus the $18 fee? Or does the phone cost you full price? Thanks again for the help
As bad as I hate to say this, but that's freakin pathetic. Who gives a flying rats butt about what someone thinks about your device. You should buy devices for what you need or want it to do not what other people think about it. With that kind of thinking you might as well jump over with the iTards and get version 4.....
You dump a phone because someone think it looks like an iPhone.
You dump a phone because since someone thinks it looks like an iPhone you deem it a chic phone.
You dump a phone because people can't tell the difference between what you have an anyone else has.
I don't understand.
I agree Qazme....who cares what others think?
My win mobile phone looked like a bb and I would get asked all the time.....I used to say no its windows mobile,
If I want the most practical phone, and still the best on the market, get the Incredible.
If I wanted an iPad, I wouldn't settle on an imitation Droid X.
I'll probably be selling my Inc on craigslist or Ebay to get some cash to put towards the Droid X. If Verizon wasnt so god damn stubborn and given back my money as I requested when I went into the store on the day of my 30 day warranty from them I wouldnt have to worry about selling it but now I do. My bad experiences with Verizon has left a sour taste in my mouth and dont intend on doing business with them much longer if it keeps up.
I had the devour and it really turned me off of moto phones. Comming from the bb storm the Inc is so much nicer all around. im using swype and it makes typing way easier. and personally i dont like the size of the evo/droidx. im definately impressed
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the X is to big for what I need. If I wanted a huge phone like that, I'd go for the Dell Streak, or an iPad.
I don't like the transition to these huge phones; they are blurring the line between phone and tablet, almost like they want in on the excitement the (iPad) tablets has created here lately. Look at the iPhone (yes, I went there). I LIKE having an extremely high pixel density. The EVO and X won't have that. Stop going huge. Instead, step back and fix the battery, or something.
That's just my opinion. I know guys who love the EVO. I don't, and ever since the Moto Q I haven't liked Motorola either.
Im waiting to pass judgement untill I see it in person and use it for awhile first.
