AC Asks: What's your favorite Twitter client?

I'm trying to use tuoitieur but it's still pretty slow. But I like it because it shows a lot of tweets on one page. My go to app is still Seesmic. It's just one of the fastest and fullest apps for me. I can't use twicca because I'm still on 1.5 So that's the only one I haven't gotten to test out.

I keep coming back to HTC Peep. Decent interface, good widget and it all runs smoothly on my Sprint Hero. I've tried Seesmic, Touiteur, Tweetcaster & I wanna say 2 or 3 others. While they are nice, they didn't really provide anything that Peep couldn't.

I use Twidroid PRO, and I'd like to try Hootsuite, but I can't download it on my myTouch 1.2, and Hootsuite has given me absolutely nothing in terms of help.

I tried out Twidroid for a day, but got a refund because Seesmic did everything I wanted it to do and a bit more and was free.

So I cast my vote for Seesmic.

Really liking Touiteur....developer is very active and responsive...looking forward to seeing what new wrinkles he adds to this client to separate it from the others...

and just like his Beautiful Widgets, Touiteur has a great look and feel to it...

I really like TweetCaster. It's a little pricey but I love the interface. I like the features. To be fair though, I've only tried Twidroid & Seesmic besides TweetCaster.

I'm using Seesmic, but honestly as a former Blackberry user I still miss UberTwitter, nothing I've tried yet on Android is as good.

Touiteur really bugs me because you can't view your profile and people following you. I like Twidroid Pro. I just tried twicca because it has a widget and can be color customized and it's super fast!!!

Seesmic is still my favorite. I've tried most of them, and in comparing speed/functionality of all of them with a good UI, seesmic came out on top

I'm currently using TwiDroid, I have tried Seesmic and liked it. I purchased Twidriod, to help the support the developer as with my Facebook client.

I've tried Twidroid, Seesmic, and Touiter. My daily go to is Seesmic. It's simple, has all the features I need and updates quickly. I played with Touiter for a weekend and loved the look (very reminiscent of Tweetie on iPhone) but it was slow to refresh and added timelines of people I am not following. My #1 is Seesmic.

I think the timelines of people you're not following showing up are actually retweets of people you're not following by people that you are following.

I actually didn't discover that my desktop twitter client wasn't showing me retweets properly until I started seeing retweets in Touiteur that weren't showing up in my desktop client.

best twitter client on android

SEESMIC all the way. I have tried a lot of the other twitter apps available in the market but I keep coming back to the seesmic app.

I've played with a few clients, but like Twidroid the the best. It's snappy, pretty, parses links in tweets quite well, and handles most twitter features. It seems to have only a moderate drain on the battery for notifcations.

However, the app is pushing 2MB, and other than the new Maps is my biggest app. I don't know why it has to be a memory hog, so I'm looking forward to hearing more about the competition.

I used Tweetcaster, and thought it was pretty nifty, but now I'm really in love with Touiteur. I'm thinking of giving hootsuite a try, but from the preview pictures, I have a feeling it's not going to replace Touiteur as my favorite.

I'm slightly weird here: I'm a dual app user, and happy about that.

I use Swift, which I am very happy with, for my main @bigonroad account. I find it snappy, excellent at parsing links - it even tells you the title of the page that shortened url links link to. It does photo *and* video upload, notifications and its all in all, pretty sweet.
l0v3mon3y08 pointed out that it doesn't have a widget, but this doesn't affect me as I try to avoid widgets that update, since they seem to use a wee bit extra battery.

For my multiple other accounts I use Twoid, since its limited in features, and thus fast: I only need it to be able to send the odd tweet! I use this for my @medrevise @namesnotnumbers @dogheze and @dogpudd (yes, even my idiotic dogs have twitter).

I'm sure a lot of people would find this annoying, but the downside of multiple twitter apps, is its easy to send stuff in the wrong account, or have to wait as it changes over. This way, Swift is always on the right account, and I can always use Twoid on the once or twice a week occasions I want to update the others.

Anyone else use two apps at once?
Chris
