First thing that comes to mind is actually a funny one: The announcement of Google Play Edition Galaxy S4 last year. Everyone got really excited until Berra said the price...$649 I was at I/O extended in NY and everyone really laughed when the room went quiet.

Either way, that was an awesome announcement because it meant more Vanilla devices, less bloatware, and more options for developers.

May favorite thing last Google io was how Google updated play services to allow for updates without updating the entire os. To me this was completely revolutionary as it now allows for updates for ALL devices throughout the year.

Google Glass was the most unpredictable announcement done at Google I/Os. Even if we might never see the product in this form it has opened up a new era of devices by simply suggesting to the public that such devices are not only in movies but in real life.

Had to be google glass. I was blown away when Sergey Brin skydived from a zeppelin and landed on Moscone Center with glass. PURE Adrenaline!

In my view announcing that galaxy smart phones shaped the entire way that we view smart phones in the future and forevermore now.

Best announcement I have seen myself - Project Glass, no doubt. But if I'd have to select favourite product that was announced on I/O that would be Google Wave. Too pity that it wasn't understood by most customers.

My favorite IO moment was when they announced Project Butter which meant that they finally took to heart hardware acceleration in parts of the graphics stack.

I was a fan of the Nexus Q.. But the one thing that really got me extra excited was all the home automation they Android@home is what I really want!

No question: The Nexus 7 tablet. Once an LTE chip was added later, it is a go to device that goes anywhere. With Google Now, it is the big brother to the Galaxy Note 3 phone that I carry everywhere. No modern professional should be without one.
