insufficeint storage

I am trying to sideload LauncherPro-0.8.3.apk. It gets to the phone & then throws this error. Well, guess I can't insert a screen shot. The error states:

FAILURE [INSTALL_FAILED_INSUFFICIENT_STORAGE]

Any ideas? Thanks.

Pat

I think I put this in the wrong section. Sorry.

Sideload Titanium backup on captivate?

Ok trying to use this tool to install titanium backup root version on my captivate. For some reason it won't work. I keep getting the error telling me I need to check unknown sources in system settings which doesnt exist on the captivate.

Is there something else i need to do on the captivate to get it to work?

Thanks in advance.

This isn't working on my Atrix USB'd to my Win7 laptop.

Getting device not found, yet Atrix is seen in Explorer AND Motorola MTP Interface which i am using to copy files form the Win7 laptop to my Atrix SD card...

Please advise

Chas

im trying to run it on my windows 7 64 but it keeps telling me that it needs Net Framework 4, but i tried reinstalling it but nothing :(

I haven't read all 25 pages of this post, so hopefully I'm not asking this again...Is side loading any different than installing the .apk file right from your device's SD card? Also looking to test how ADW Launcher "free & paid" versions on my Xoom, but cannot find the .apk files anywhere (yes I paid for it), neither version is avail in xooms market yet, but I heard it does work.

Unfortunately this does not work on the HTC Inspire... I'm having a lot of problems with this phone. I can't get a lot of traditional Android stuff to work. All I really want is Swype texting, and here I am two hours later, unable to get this phone to give the option of enabling non-market apps.

I've searched this thread and didn't find a real solution...when trying to use this on my Samsung Captivate, I get the error:

Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_INSUFFICIENT_STORAGE]

Any suggestions? Thanks!

It works on the Inspire. It works on any Android device that can accept adb commands, which means every one of them. I have personally tested on the Captivate, Aria, Atrix, Inspire, Nexus One, Nexus S, Evo, Hero, Optimus One, G2, Mesmerize, Indulge, Eris and Original Droid

There are only 3 things needed to get the program to work.

The USB driver correctly installed and running for your device.
The files are in the correct location on your computer.
Microsoft .NET4 is correctly installed.

Can't find the device error? -- USB driver not installed or configured correctly, or USB debugging not enabled on your phone.
Insufficient Storage? -- check file paths and that they exist.
Parse error? -- bad .apk file (signature check has failed), or not designed for your version of Android.
Version errors? -- App you're installing is not built for your version of Android.
Big, ugly Windows error about debugging? -- .Net4 not installed on your computer correctly

Everything is covered well here -- http://forum.androidcentral.com/and...g-issues-sideload-wonder-machine-windows.html

Please read it over, and make sure you're following the steps before you give up.

BTW, for the makers of AC_SWM, more power to you guys, tested the software, everything worked great.

Tested the software using my HTC Inspire 4G with HP Windows 7 OS, and tested every app that I installed, everything worked smoothly.

Again, with great thanks.

I am trying to install swype on my new HTC Inspire from a WIN7 machine.
I got the files unzipped to the C: drive and the side loader program runs, I get the serial number and the file path all check out fine but when I try to load the swype installer apk I get "adp server out of date. killing"
Not sure how to show a pic of the the screen. Please help. Thanks,
Bryan
