Accessing Gboard gif feature through wifi instead of cell network

I have uVerse and mine doesn't have issues, BUT I did have issues once with a Samsung tablet... have you looked for an update to the router's firmware? Or have you tried disabling Bluetooth while connecting to WiFi? When I had the issue nothing on WiFi would work, but it's worth a shot. Also worth a shot is to either reset the router or change the channel it connects to.
