[ACS][ROM] Phoenix ROM 0.2 & EXT Data

Shouldn't be any updates. Is it an Android system update? I got one when I first got my phone but I was running stock.

Haven't gotten one since I've been rooted or on the Phoenix rom(have been since the day after it was released)

Fyi: still running strong and love the speed. Just wish Sprint wasent so slow..lol

Is there gonna be any app2ext support?

Yeah, it was a system update. Not sure why it triggered.

I wander what its for. You didn't go try to update it?? It just popped up?


Edit: just checked for a firmware update and the samsung software..nothing popped up. Did it just pop up once and go away?

I deleted update.zip from my SD card thinking that might fix it. No luck.

The update is supposedly 14.7MB in size, so I'm confused. Update.zip was 52MB, and PhoeniX.zip is 76MB.

Ignore it for now. My younger brother is running stock, I'll see what this update is sooner or later once it hits. Or, could you possibly pull it for me? If you use something like file expert with root permissions or adb, look inside /cache and you should find an update file (usually a very lengthy name, so I can't tell you exactly what to look for). If you could send it to me and it's a real update for us after the GB update, I'll need to see what it does and if it's worth putting in the next release.

I think when I got my GB update it was little but then it expanded to bigger...idk what it is..I'm on my lunch break just trying to help..lol

Edit: just seen firehacks post. Id try to get it but it hasent popped up on mine and I'm at work sooooo...find out what it is..lol

Mine only reboots when I tell it to or when I uninstall some system apps. Other then that, mines running fan-f***-tastic..love the speed man..very snappy.

Found what I think is the update in /cache. Working on getting it uploaded somewhere.

I take that back. I can't seem to figure out how to get the file out of /cache TO somewhere else using File Expert.

You have to go into File Expert's options and check allow root access for it to request root permissions. Otherwise it will run as a normal app.

EDIT: On a side note, I updated my first post to show the kind of battery life I'm getting out of PhoeniX 0.2. Keep in mind, I'm not heavily using apps, texting, or anything. Just normal, occasional phone use. At the time of the screenshot, my battery was around 15% remaining.

I set it to request root permissions (and granted those permissions), but no matter what I do, (attach to email, upload to Dropbox) nothing works.

Even tried copy/pasting it to the SD card... no dice.

Edit: Had to reinstall the rom ..lol..I was in recovery, fixxed permissions and after I restarted, it all went bad..lol..FC's out the ying yang and it was horrible..lol

if I can get the update file, I'll send it to dropbox and post a link.

I just reflashed mine and I haven't gotten it.

And is there a way to get more options in the power menu?? Like a restart, maybe a reboot recovery/download modes??
