Adjustments, tips and tricks to maximize Battery Life on Samsung Galaxy S6/edge

Does the battery management feature strike you as a workaround to the RAM management issue?

Too soon to tell, plus I don't know the scope of that feature, but if it had been well implemented, it may help with RAM management also, only time will tell.

Erasat just a couple of questions. How do I turn off hot word detection? Also I don't know if you know the answer to this or not but since I updated to 5.1.1 my clock is in 24 hour mode. Do you know how to change it to twelve hour mode?

Lol last three minutes 103 hours. It actually at one point said 150 lol. Wow standby time seems to be so much better on 5.1.1

For the Hotword detection just go to Google app and at the top where you can type and see the word Google, there are 3 horizontal lines, click that and you will enter settings, then select voice, then "OK Google" detection, at least turn off the "From any screen" option.

For the clock, go to Settings-Date and Time and you have the option to turn on or off the 24 hour format.

Forgot to attach the picture lol

Yes, GSAM is kind of buggy sometimes, mine worked great for 2 days, today it just didn't reset the state after unplugging it from the charger, just wipe cache and its data now to begin collecting the information again, next time it happens, I'll uninstall it for good.

If you did what I suggested in the other thread, about the auto stop the apps, yes, it seems to help on standby, but again, have you installed the apps I suggested you for checking the Network connection? I'm curious to see if the new Indian firmware helps you with your radio issues, that also will greatly help you in standby mode.

My signal strength is still the same as it was before I updated at - 113 on 4g coverage -_-

I am curious though to see what the closing of the apps after ten minutes does to my standby battery life though. That makes it all worth it

OK, then at least you know it wasn't them that have screwed the firmware and radios, it is definitely their antennas and signal with the S6 radios, sorry but in that case, it will be definitely a lot harder to fix.

The concept is quite simple and good, no matter why the app was open, because of you opening it or running in the background for some reason, after 10 minutes it will "force close" it, thus preventing them to keep running in the background as they normally do.

If this is the case is there much point in having greenify anymore?

Most days I get pretty much phenomenal battery life compared to others with Telstra so it doesn't bother me as much. I'm one of the lucky ones I guess

It seems not.

But to be honest, I've never liked the way Greenify works, I find it kind of intrusive, if you know what I mean. So every time install it, then Uninstall it minutes later.

Sorry if this has been addressed already. Is anyone have an issue with their android system and android os using most of their battery life?
