Adjustments, tips and tricks to maximize Battery Life on Samsung Galaxy S6/edge

Erasat I can't find Weyo in the theme store. Did they remove it? If so -___- I need a theme that makes my settings menus black instead of white

I believe weyo is a paid theme now. I remember seeing someone say that on the developers page in Google+. That might be why it's not showing up in your theme store because I believe you said you live in austrilia and paid themes are only in places like US and canada.

Thats ridiculous -_- Yeah we will make it a paid theme but not everyone will have access to it. What kind of nonsense is that

Thanks for answering though

Its there. Launch the theme app, go to the 'All' tab. And its the fifth one (at the time of this post). However, its $1 USD.

A free alternative would be Material Dark. Its gray, though.

As the person previously stated I'm in Australia so I don't see the paid themes. Thanks to the morons who decided to make it a paid theme and only available to a certain percentage of the market. Way to take away the theme that was my daily driver

I follow the developer on google+ and he randomly posts saying he makes one of his themes free and another one paid. I think he rotates which themes are free so everyone gets a chance to get them for free

I hope Weyo becomes free ago. Samsung recommended I factory reset my phone yesterday to try and sort out an issue I'm having with it. It didn't fix the issue with my phone and now I lost the theme I was using so what a great thing I did by factory resetting it lol

Sorry razza, been out all day.

Well you seem to have your answer already, but yes, if you don't see it then it was moved to paid themes and if you in Australia can't see paid themes then you're out of luck.

But try the Material Dark theme, it's not black but at least is well done. I must be honest, I haven't even checked for weeks now, so I don't really know if there is another one that can replace Weyo with it's full Black menus.

It's too bad not all paid themes are visible. I am running Material Dar. It's not bad having a splash of color.

I also run the Weyo theme, i love it. This thread has helped me get another full hour of screen on time with my edge. Thanks a lot, keep it up.

So did you have the theme downloaded and it got deleted, or can you just not use it anymore? I downloaded it for free, and i still use right now.

It's gone altogether and I'm incredibly pissed. There should not be a paid section anywhere that only two select countries have access to. You want to make a section of it paid make it available for everyone. It's ridiculous

I've had my t-mobile S6 for 1 week, this is my 2nd one!! I thought I had a lemon the first time so I exchanged it for another. Coming from an S5 the battery life on this S6 has been terrible, everything else on the phone I love, but the anxiety I feel as I watch my battery drop over 10% per hour in standby is ridiculous, if I use the phone it drops 15%+ per hour. I've done a factory reset 3 times. This last time I didn't even install any apps or turn on wifi, I went through and disabled all the bloatware, voLTE, and all the other tips people suggest. Even with no bloat apps, no location, no sync, no wifi, no google account, & fresh reset it still drains 10% per hour in standby.

Not sure what else I should do, if I can't figure it out I guess I'll go back to my S5 which would last me easily from 8 am to 10pm. I'm not a heavy user at all, 1-2 hour SOT is probably all I need plus 10-12 hours standby. Never been an issue with any of my Android phones dating back to the G1.

Without more information and details about what you have disabled exactly or even some screen shots of your battery stats it's almost impossible to give you suggestions. But let me begin by asking if you have disabled Wifi calling (turn it off until you will need it and use it) and if you have Location turned on?

If you want your location on I'd suggest you to use the power saving mode (wifi and cell only) and be sure to have Location History off this is the most important part of the 2 as Google removed the option to turn off Location Reporting a couple of months ago and now it's on all the time pinging your device al the time causing a huge draining. But this is not just for Samsung, this is affecting all Android devices with latest Google Play services, equally.

Those 2 are the ones that have been found to be the culprit of similar issues before. For last, if you are on 5.1.1 already, go to Settings-Battery and go to the Detail option you'll see there, activate the Auto Stop for all the apps you don't need to notify you while your device sleeps and more important don't want to keep active in the background. Read the details about it and look for an thread I started a couple of weeks ago, it has more details about that.

I agree, that's some bs

Thanks for the response erasat, I'm on 5.1.1. I can't post screenshots on here yet or I would. I did another factory reset lastnight. Disabled everything suggested, no wifi setup, wifi calling/scanning off, location off & reporting off, google voice search/always listening off, no installed apps to auto stop (all disabled), disabled all bloatware (basically every pre-installed samsung and google app), voLTE off.

Once the phone was charged to 100%, i unplugged it and put it in "Airplane mode" before going to sleep (to see if that would slow down the drain), woke up 5 hours later with 61% battery life.

It sounds like you have a defective phone
