Hello everyone
I was wondering if anyone had any advice on a tablet for elderly people. I've been looking into getting a used Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 for ~?150. I think a big (10") screen is better than a smaller (7") screen and the camera is ok for skyping. I also know that it will be fairly reliable compared to the 10" tablets for ?30 on Amazon, I don't want it crashing or freezing or having problems all the time. Do people agree? ?150 is pretty much the top end of my budget.
Secondly, I've been looking into apps to improve accessibility for my grandparents. Bigger icons would be great and so I reckon something like Giganticon would suit that need well. Are there any others that could help? I've seen BigLauncher but I think it may be a bit excessive since my grandparents aren't totally technophobic.
And finally, I would really like an app that would enable me to take control of the tablet from a remote location, so that I can occasionally check in on it and install updates if they're needed or fix any issues that they call me about. We both live in different parts of the country so this would be really important to me.
Thanks in advance for any help that people can provide.
