After 4.2 update: laggy home screen, app transitions ...?

After sideloading the 4.2 update (and wiping the cache partition after that), I've noticed the home screen lagging from time to time, just scrolling through the panels. I've noticed some delays in launching apps, too. Turning off Daydreams didn't have any effect (in case that new feature was resident in the background, holding things up). Google Now has been really laggy at times, on one occasion just locking up and not responding for 10 seconds or so.

Developer Options are disabled. I've done some reboots.

I've also seen flickering in Chrome and some other apps. Here's the most egregious example of a screen redraw issue:

Anyone else noticed things like this?

Mine was pretty laggy when I first got the OTA update. I restarted my N7 (held power button down) and now it's dandy.

Just installed mine seems fine no problems so far only installed it tonight but seems good so far.
