Android Central Question

After the Pie update, I noticed that all of my playlists had all of the songs deleted. When I reloaded one of the playlists, it was deleted again the next day. It appears that all of my songs are still in my music library, just everything deleted from my playlists. I am using the Samsung Music app. Any ideas?

This is a cross-device, multi year issue. The summary is: Android deletes rather randomly playlists of songs (has been happening to me for the last 3+ years, over 2 different devices). It doesn't matter if the songs and playlists are on a SD card or in the main memory. On the forums, you will find some proposed solutions - for some they apparently work. For me and a few other sufferers, the solutions do not work. We await Android fixing it. We may be waiting a long time as there doesn't seem to be any acknowledgement/ownership of the issue by Android. Good luck!

So, you blame Android for deleting playlists in your Samsung Music app?
Can't it be an error in the Samsung Music app instead?

Hi Onkel Per, without going into too much detail (because there is a lot in the last few years), it seems independent of which music app (I tried around 5 - 10, even my Sonos keeps having the playlists deleted - others mention having tried other music apps which I haven't tried), it also seems independent of hardware (my 2 plus when you look in the internet about questions to this issue, it hits many different devices). Quite frustrating but c'est la vie.
