with the stock Music Player, i was able to stream music to my Pioneer receiver (with built-in Airplay) by hitting the button in the upper left of the Music Player. worked great, other than album art not showing up, but song info did.

what exactly is that button/feature called?

Hey, how did you manage to enable that? I have a Yamaha receiver and use the Yamaha app to stream to the home system ( works fantastic, including album art). The receiver has Airplay as well and would like to enable that on my phone, too!

It used to be called all share and is now called screen mirroring.

You might checkout "AirAudio" which streams all your audio, undependent from what app you are using.

Yes. AirPlay is Apple tech and getting it to work with other devices requires work or third party apps to force support.

You should be able to use the Screen Mirroring with Miricast supported devices, though, or you can get a Samsung device from their website that lets you get it done with official support for your Galaxy devices.
