All about Incredible batteries (Replacements, Charging..ect)

More stats for you guys who are thinking about the Seidio 1750 mAh extended battery! :)

UpTime: 57:24:27
AwakeTime: 23:00:27
Battery %:2 %
Wifi: Off
GPS: On (for an hour)
Bluetooth: Off

Unplugged time: 1d 0h 0m 27s
cell standby: 28%
phone idle : 26%
android system :19 %
maps: 9%
voice calls: 9%
display: 5%
camera: 2%
dialer: 2%

8 hrs of this time was spent sleeping -- lost 7% battery charge overnight!)

usage pattern: less voice calls today. Only about 30 minutes or so throughout the day. Same amount of emails (40) and texts (15), but listened to more music (2 hrs), used gps (1 hour), more android market downloads (4), camera usage (4 pics or so), internet browsing, twittering with touiteur, used eBuddy IM in the background for half the night, etc.

All in all, not too shabby. Though I wasn't impressed when I got home 12 hours later (after unplugging at 6:35am yesterday morning) and my battery was at 38%, but I was using a lot throughout the day truthfully.

This is again from the Seidio extended battery (1750 mAh). I am going to run stock battery today and for the remainder of the week to do comparisons.

Thanks!

Review of seidio

Background on OEM battery first:
Okay so I've had my phone since the 28th (one day prior to launch day).
I've drained/fulled charged the phone just about every day so far since having it. I've noticed with time the battery got better and better.

Yesterday I talked on the phone on and off.. at least 1 hour throughout the day. My phone usually doesnt do much while I'm at work.. just vibrates to let me know of new notifications/emails.. but I just then check my email at work on the computer. I sent about 15-20 text messages... and I listended to Pandora for 1 hour.. lightly surfed the internet.

Unplugged at 5:45am.. by 8:30pm I still had 40% of my battery left.

I think that's pretty decent for OEM battery. OH. and I also left the "Mobile Networks - Enable Always On" checked as well. I only enable WiFi at my house. If I'm not home, I disable WiFi.

Last night before I went to bed I swapped out the OEM battery and put in the Seidio 1750mah battery.

RESULTS:
I've talked on the phone for 30 minutes this morning. Received about 10 email notifications. Checked traffic using Google Maps.. and lightly surfed facebook. I did this all on 3G since I was commuting.

Disconnected phone at 5:40am.. it's now 10am and I'm at 80%. Before I would be at about 65-70%.

I estimate that since I wont be using my phone most of the day until I get off of work.. I should be at least at 70% by the time I get off of work at 5pm.

So far the Seidio does seem to be better. Considering I was doing the comparison to my OEM battery (which cycled for 5 or 6 days).. and this is the first time using the Seidio battery after a 8 hour charge.

From the outlook of it.. I would think that in a few days after i've cycled the Seidio battery.. it should be a significant difference then OEM.

My only question is if cases will be made for the bigger batteries like the Verizon one, or the seidio 3500. I understand they come with new backs, but I dont want to be severely limited or wait months for a nice case ( that has drop protection) to come out to fit the extended batteries. So i might be forced to get the 1750 because it will be a headache to find a case to fit the extended batteries. ?? From what Seidio's website, they have the 3500 coming soon, but i see 0 cases designed to fit the larger size..

do you think the 1750 is worth the 50 bucks?

Oh my god yes.

I posted something similar to this in another thread. But yesterday was my first use with the new battery. Through heavy use throughout the day (played games whenever I could, browsed the internet when I didn't need to, etc etc), I was only able to get the battery down to 20% before I gave up and went to bed.

I had the phone on from 6:00am to 11:00pm, 17 hours.

The best part is that it's supposed to only get better, so yeah, that 1750 was probably the best 50.00 I've ever spent.

Hey Mike,

I definitely feel where you're coming from on that one. Here's what my research has yielded: If you want to go with the 2150 mAh battery wait for the covers to come out from Verizon. It is going to be SO worth it if you need longer battery life. :)

If I can get 24 hours of juice with moderate usage out of a 1750mAh, you will get SO MUCH MORE out of a 2150 HTC OEM on this phone. The TP2 battery works already, so if you don't mind having your phone's back all exposed and naked go with the battery listed here (it'll fit): Amazon.com - TP2 Extended.

Hopefully the back cover won't be too expensive (click here to see preview pricing) and you can't really argue with that price vs. the Verizon Store @ $59.95!

The bummer about the extended batteries that stick out more is that standard cases won't fit the phone. Not a big deal if you don't use a case (jury's still out for me, I generally like the stock look better but might want a silicone skin or something) but if you do, your case selection becomes much more limited. No matter, if I'm keeping this phone, I NEED an extended battery to get me through the day.

After having a crappy battery day 2 days ago. Yesterday wa amazing. I had 29% left at 8PM and had disconected at 6AM.
Played HomeRun Battle 3D for an hour
GTalked all day
Surfed the net
Downloaded my wifes 9630 BB leak OS
A couple of emails and about 5 phone calls.

I think the battery finally broke in.
:D

Roy you were one of the lucky ones that received their Incredible early so how many days did it take to break in the battery?

Just got my Seidio 1750 battery today - pretty excited to see if I can get it to last at least all day long :)

5 days.
I am on day 6 now (Seidio battery) and 3 hours later am at 92%.

I thought you were talking about the stock battery. I should have my Seidio battery by the end of this week and sounds like it will help out a lot.

1st day on new Seidio battery..

unplugged at 5:45am (WiFi off)
current time is 12:45pm (almost anyways)..

7 hours later.. 77%. Took 2 pics. sent 3 picture emails. talked on phone for 30 min. checked traffic through Google Maps.. very lightly browsed internet/facebook.

I totally agree, but is that just the stock cover or an extended one to fit the 2150? Also, then Im stuck waiting for a case to go over the new extended back. ( which may be forever) or be limited to one or two different cases.
