All about Incredible batteries (Replacements, Charging..ect)

The OEM battery sucks. There is nothing you can really do to make it better.

True enough, I just don't have a benchmark to go by cause I've just used the Seidio extended battery (1750 mAh) since day 1. Are these good numbers vs. stock?

UpTime: 25:10:20
AwakeTime: 10:13:23
Battery %:6 %
Wifi: On (Only on for 2 hours 25 minutes)
GPS: Off
Bluetooth: Off

Unplugged time: 22:03:02
cell standby: 27%
android system :24 %
phone idle : 23%
voice calls: 11%
display: 7%
wi-fi: 4%
dialer: 3%

22hr 4min since unplugged I think that's pretty good. :)

(5 hrs of this time was spent sleeping -- only lost 3% battery charge overnight!)

Anyone have any trials with the TP2 battery in the Incredible? Any "credible" real-world tests?

Hi everyone, here are my stats using a Seidio 1750 mAh extended battery for the Eris but in the Incredible of course (from Day 1 = 04/29/10):

I removed the phone from the charger just after midnight last night (May 3rd 2010) -- I had my mobile data setting to "Always On" :

UpTime: 25:10:20
AwakeTime: 10:13:23
Battery %:6 %
Wifi: On (Only on for 2 hours 25 minutes)
GPS: Off
Bluetooth: Off

Unplugged time: 22:03:02
cell standby: 27%
android system :24 %
phone idle : 23%
voice calls: 11%
display: 7%
wi-fi: 4%
dialer: 3%

22hr 4min since unplugged. I think that's pretty good. :)

(5 hrs of this time was spent sleeping -- only lost 3% battery charge overnight!)

My usage pattern: basically a fairly even mix of reading emails (46), calls (47 mins), texts (20), android market downloads (6 apps), watched a video from podkast (6 mins), listened to a couple audio podkasts, watched the new Boondocks Season 3 ep 1 for 23 minutes (converted the video to H.264 mp4), used touiteur for about 15 minutes, listened to music for about an hour, and composed a couple of emails throughout the day.

All in all a pretty good run I'd say -- now if any of you guys are getting those kind of numbers from the stock battery, guess who's gonna be returning an extended battery? :P

Anyone try a Touch Pro2 OEM battery yet? Care to share the results? :D

what battery app did yal get to check the percentage? thanks

Battery Widget by mippin.com (available in the Market)

  1. it's FREE.
  2. the icon on the home screen is far more legible than the HTC widget by the same name.
  3. tap the icon and you'll find shortcuts to important settings.

Verizon sales a 2150 extended battery, yet it does say it comes with a different back for 49.95....i blow my 1300 out of the water within 6 hours :(

I have never been a fan of large batteries. Jerks knew this 1300 sucked ass. Just another way to make money.

just be happy u have bigger battery in stock size... we have been waiting for a bigger stock size for the moto droid and nothing...

my battery

my battery life has been decent so far, although not great.

The two things that concern me the most are this:
1. When I pull it off the charger in the morning, I lose about 10% battery in the first 15 minutes. It kind of levels off from there, but still not good.

2. It seems to lose a lot of battery while in standby. Even with no apps running. I use the amazing app killer to ensure that.

Today...I pulled it off the charger around 12 pm.
was down to 90% by 12:20.
was down to less than 10% by 12am.

I suppose I am not really complaining, because I did manage to get about 12 hours total out of the battery, but the thing that bothers me is that out of the 12 hours, i was at work and my phone was in standby for at least 8. So, even if I used my phone constantly for the remaining 4 hours(which I did not), it is still not nearly living up to its 5.2 hours of talk time and 146 hours of standby. I have calculated, using an app called battery snap, that my battery loses about 8% in an hour on standby. That means maximum I'm getting 13 hours on standby and that is not incredible at all!

anyone have any thoughts?

I took the plunge and bought the seidio battery. I also have a tp2 battery coming...ill compare the 2 when I get them.

I found the battery life thread and modified my "Other Networks" setting. Since I'm in a large-ish city, it has not impacted my coverage or updates in any way. It greatly improved my battery life, and the battery life has improved with time. Yesterday, off charger at 8am, took a couple calls, read many emails, read a few websites over lunch, and it was well over 50% when I got home from work. I read some more websites with it and took a couple more calls. Then I played some games around 10:00pm till about 11:30pm. Still had about 20% life left. That's a good 12hrs of standby and 3hrs of usage or so.

On my first day of full charge, I'd say I got about 4 hours of usage, 1hr of standby and it was toast.

Can I ask where you saw this?

EDIT: Meaning the details... I see info on the battery coming out everywhere, but no details such as price or new cover...

check out my previous post, and to update that post. GF's phone has been off charger for 40 hours and its at 71%, awake time of an hour. Android Operating system still at 95% of battery usage. (Stock Battery) So if you think you can only get 13 hours of standby, i would say your settings are way jacked or your phone is defective.
