All about Incredible batteries (Replacements, Charging..ect)

Just returned my Seidio 1750 mAh -- couldn't get the results out of it that I could when I first got it (24 hours Up time, and 10+ hours Awake time) so I have ordered the TP2 OEM extended 2150 mAh -- I'll let you all know how that works out. I am a heavy user and I need my Incredible to last long days (6:30am - 11:30pm) with no charger/recharge.

The TP2 1500mAh extended battery sounds promising, but for what I do with this little pocket computer I need SO much more juice. I don't mind the extra heft or bigger battery door that's needed either.

Word to the wise: *In my experience, if you had the original battery, then go with extended, don't keep switching back to original. I haven't been able to get the same performance out of my incredible since I kept switching back and forth. I may be wrong and it could be some apps that I have loaded that are killing the battery, but that's what I think it is.

Plus the Seidio gets way too hot under semi-heavy usage. I was hitting almost 100F -- which shut off the phone  at one point!

How are you going to work around the battery cover not fitting on the Incredible with this particular battery?

Yeah ordered mine yesterday, 5/17. Whew.......

Just got my shipping email says it should be here USPS standard shipping on Monday 5/24! Did you order before or after it went back to the 2-3 week status?

I was thinking about it for an hour before i hit "buy". by that time it went to 2-3 week wait.

Maybe it'll all work out and the super extended battery will be out next week.

OK... so i was bored during my lunch and was googling and came about this. Hopefully its not true for Verizons accessories. I know HTCPedia is not an official outlet but this is what they have posted (not sure how reliable it is):

HTC Incredible owners, as many of you know how frustrating it can be when the battery in your phone doesn't last enough to go through the day. We have been anxiously expecting to get some original HTC 2150mAh extended batteries for Droid Incredible around the end of May, however we have just learned that its release date has been pushed back to late July.

For more than few weeks we've had an estimated arrival date for HTC Droid Incredible 2150mAh extended battery around end of May. As of today it has been pushed back to late July 2010. We're not sure what has caused this delay, but this will definitely make some Incredible owners upset.

For those of you who are looking to get the 1500mAh extra capacity battery for HTC Incredible, you'll get a nice boost of power enough to get through the day with an extra 200mAh.

I think that's true. July 2010 ... <sigh> I am gonna run it naked for a week or so, see how it performs, then go back to stock until the cover comes out. :(

Sucks, I know...

I'm gonna go naked on the back for a little while unfortunately I paid about $40 (the same as the Seidio) Click here

I just felt like the Seidio's performance really lacked as of late... I had great results with it for about a week and then I got more apps, switched it out for a week, and let it drain to nothing and it's never performed the same since.

Don't do what I did guys! Keep a charge on it at all times, try not to switch it out for the stock battery often, and keep checking what apps you load if you notice significant battery drain over a short period of time!

OK. After all the heming and hawing I defaulted to plan B. Instaed of ordering the charger and 2 cheap batteries for $16, I purchased the the 2100mA battery w/ extended back for the TP2 from verizon. I figured I can try it, return it if I don't like it for a full credit. It may or may not fit my Incredible, may or may not work w/ the back off but the silicone case on. Not sure but it will only cost me some time. No money lost if I don't like it. Maybe I can sell the TP2 back alone to recoup some dough. Cost was $49.99 w/ 20% VIP/merit discount, free S&H. I will post my results and findings.

I am going to post what I find as well. The idea of the silicon case over the phone with the bigger battery is a good one! I just might try that out. Any specific silicon cases that you think would be better?

Thanks,

I have been using a 1500 mah own touch pro 2 battery and it works great. And for $18 it was way cheaper than seidios.

check the vzw store for TP2 2100 batery w/ back. should fit, toss the back, $49.99

Because it says HTC on it and I looked at it compared to a battery from a touch pro. And the seller has tons of feedback. How many nom oem batteries have you seen with HTC on it??? And a seller like that isn't gunna lie.

The Batteries showed up... finally...

Off topic: Hey do you fly in BK117's w/ Air Methods or another Co.? I used to Repair / Overhaul and test run the LT101's for that helicopter @ Honeywell.

Those Batt's still haven't shown up. My buddy said it takes about three weeks +/- a few days. They're real hit and miss too. Some work like a champ and some just poop out quick. I got a 1600mAH for my Tour it worked great my friends was junk. Lol we got them in the same order.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY> the charger died in the first 20 minutes of use. 2 batt's and a charger for 16 bucks. What was I thinking? The 1500 mAH is charging in my phone now sitting at 105 degrees. I like the Seidio 3500 with duct tape idea. Absolute genius! Actually I'm going to buy the Eris 3500 battery and cut the back out of the original door and tape the batt in until a back door is available. I did this on my 9630 Tour. I'm sick of the pathetic battery life. I will win this battle between me and my phone.
