All about Incredible batteries (Replacements, Charging..ect)

wow, so far that is my only complaint is the battery. did light to med usage to day. no more than normal with my BB. and by 2pm i am charging it already. will be very interested in an extended battery. till then will have to get a second cord to carry with me

just save the trouble of the second charger and get an extended battery.

One shouldn't have to get an extended battery for light usage though.
Really I know these phones do more then make calls but seriously this should be part of the design process.

I'm having the same issue. I woke up this morning, stuffed the phone in my pocket, went to work, an hour after waking up and literally not accessing my phone for anything and my battery is down to 91%?

I'm only on like the full 2nd or 3rd cycle, so i'm hoping it improves, but yeah, so far the battery life is pretty damn bad.

im just praying it gets better.. i guess i was just used to the iphone battery which lasts a long time... loving this phone though except for the battery so far

I killed my stock battery about 30mins ago, and have been running the extended. Im going to continue using it like I have been, Lots of texts, apps and such. But Im not going to charge it over night to see how long it will last under heavy use.



Honestly, I was concerned about memory, but after downloading 20ish apps I am just down to 690mb. Very impressed.

I just fully charged my Seidio battery. After 31 minutes of use it's down to 87%. Not a good sign.

It might need to be charged several times before it's conditioned properly. I'd say it will take me 24 hours of use to know for sure, but the OEM battery that came with it sure didn't drain that fast after the first charge.

Battery. I would not return a phone for an aftermarket batteries poor performance.

My only revision to my "I love the Incredible after BB, with few gripes" is that I was concerned about the battery, but this is a bit ridiculous!!. With a decent amount of client calls, surfing while waiting for a bus or playing a game on subway, I've had to recharge the phone about three times (battery down to 14%) between 8am and 8pm. I do admit to using the phone a fair amount, but not much more than I would normally use my BB Storm and I would have to charge the storm once a day and end up with about 20% by the end of the day. I know others are complaining about the battery, but what was HTC thinking? or do I have a bad battery? Any thoughts? Even if I accounted for the new phone/gadget extra use, maybe that would add 15% power usage.

I have been beating this battery up all day and have 10% left. Just connected to the USB port.
8 good hours.

I think I will wait for one of the big 2200 or bigger batteries. The phone is so thin that I would probably be ok with a bigger battery. I am coming from a iphone 3gs with a hard case on it. It made it heavier and wider, so the incredible with a thin gel case will be ok with a bigger battery. My first day with the incredible I unplugged at like 8 a.m and with heavy use I decided to plug it back in at like 3 p.m. with 25 percent left. My iphone 3gs was almost the same. I would unplug at 8 a.m. and probably by 6 I was down to single digits.

Using other HTC batteries with incredible.

I just got my incredible last night and the battery just isn't going to cut it for me without keeping it plugged in throughout the day. i happen to have an HTC ozone laying around that has a 1500mah battery in it. It fits just fine in the incredible, and the incredible battery fits fine in the ozone, my question for someone more electrical knowledge than me.

Is it safe to use the batteries interchangeably with each other? IE ozone charges the incredible battery, incredible discharges the ozone battery?

The only real thing i noticed between the two is that the ozone battery is lithium ion and the incredible battery is lithium ion. Is this safe? Any insight would be appreciated!

Which uses more battery_ Wi-fi or 3G ?

I believe 3G uses more battery.

I wonder if the super extended battery (which requires a new back plate) will still fit into the silicon case from Verizon?
