All about Incredible batteries (Replacements, Charging..ect)

Sorry I didn't see people mentioning the touch pro 2 batteries. I don't see anyone with an answer though. I'm using the ozone battery and so far it's ok. Does anyone have anymore official info on if there would be problems?

I believe 3G uses more battery.

I wonder if the super extended battery (which requires a new back plate) will still fit into the silicon case from Verizon?

I was wondering the same thing. Considering how snug the silicone case is, I doubt it.

Wow, I really want an extended battery since stock just doesn't last. I want to get a cradle too and am wondering if i should just get the seidio slim battery or does anyone know if they make cradles to work with the extended battery cover from the bigger batteries?

Just to clarify, it's the Touch Pro 2 battery, not the Touch Pro battery that fits. This battery is also the same battery used in the HTC Ozone, and no there doesn't appear to be any issues with using it, but that doesn't mean there won't be. It could be my imagination but it seems like it takes a lot longer to charge this battery in the phone than the Eris or stock battery.

It also makes the phone feel a bit heavier and that is a good thing as the phone is too light in my manly, carpenter hands.

Download HTC Battery Widget from the market.

Just sharing a personal preference - didn't care for the HTC battery widget, but "Battery Widget" by mippin.com (available in the Market) is cool.

  • Bigger icon that one can actually read.
  • Pressing the icon provides some handy short cuts to known battery killers (GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Display settings)

Well made it to 24:50:18 before the battery told me to charge it. With 4:38:01 awake time. That was the extended battery. Not I have it charging in a spare phone turned off. I guess I will see if the Seidio battery gets better with time.

Hell ya I feel like a man again with my 1750mhz battery. I will how ever by the biggest battery they come out with as long as i can get a seidio clip for it.

For those waiting for the OEM (and red) 2150mAh extended battery from Verizon..it might be a month or so before they have it.

The battery in my droid crapped out (haven't had it for week!) and called Technical support who told me to go to the store. The store did not have any stock batteries in inventory nor did they have any in ANY warehouse that they could ship to me.

Anyway, to make a long story short..the store manager (as well as a Technical Support manager on the phone) said that the stock batteries should be at stores next week and that the extended battery won't ship until sometime in June.

Just thought I'd share..

oh..the store manager took the battery out of the store model and gave it to me to replace the battery that crapped out...that was nice I guess.

Thanks for the news, digital!

I hope they didn't charge you for that battery. It was an innovative swap, though - better than nothing.

with out going through 18 pages. serious about this. this is the biggest complaint with the phone. i made 2 SHORT phone calls today. took about 5 pics and about 45 min internet time. batter was dead by 2pm!!!!!! i mean come on now. wifi is turned off. gps turned off. the other mobile broadband thing is off. WTF!! brightness is 50%. wont spend the money on a charger that is $30 with verizon when i can spend and $45 for a battery. but i am to the point shouldn't have to spend any $$. cant even get a day out of this thing without charging it 2-3 times a time. rant over here. by the way i love this phone.
