Some more info I discovered while on another forum:
Sprint holding mandatory HTC EVO 3D training on June 18th (and other info suggesting late June release)

This mainly fits with what I heard from the Sprint store manager, if by a larger margin what I expected, and after my BD :'( But as long as it's before July. And maybe pre-orders will get theirs early??? (Hey, I can dream , can't I LOL

But if you check the Motorola XPRT comes out June 5, and training is the day before it comes out.

LOL! Just saw a similar post on the "other forum"... Have we got it bad, or what?!? I do think it's a HUGE mistake if they release AFTER Father's Day unless some hard/software just won't let'em do it.

Ha, nothing like arguing on two fronts.

I agree though, while it's not the biggest of holidays for gifts and things, it's certainly more than say, the weekend before or after, where there's no holiday of any type (really, for a while after, because I don't believe I've ever seen someone give a Fourth of July gift either...)

Haha yea I saw that discussion too. I think that releasing on father's day is good and bad. I know it would bring a lot of sales, but it may be saddening for those who don't get it. I know that some stores order stock depending on amount of pre-orders, but there's no doubt that if it came out fathers day it would possibly sell out:-$
