I finally stopped the update by closing the window. Unsure what to do now.

Log Files have been sent to you.

first, let me say, thank you for this tool. it seems "idiot proof". i currently have revolutionary and am having issues getting 4g to stay connected. I d like to unroot and see if it fixes the problem. If unrooting and going back to stock fixes it, i will try rooting this method and see if it changes the 4g connection. I am very new to rooting. The only reasons i root is to setup wireless tethering and remove bloatware

- other than downloading the files on page one, are there any additional downloads i need to put this back to stock?

- other than downloading the files on page one, are there any other files i need to re-root the device?

- can this fix your phone if you brick it?

Mucho thanks for your help!!!!! If this works as easy as everybody says, likes and thanks all around

All you need to do is download the tool, and it can't unbrick yet but unbricking is generally easy

trter10-2,

I am brand new here and brand new to the rooting game. I haven't done it yet but I was EXTREMELY pleased to find this thread AND that it's still being maintained. Props on both instances.

Now, I don't know when I'm going to do this, but is there a list of possible problems/scenarios that may arise w/ solutions accompanied to them? My fear is that I brick my phone. I love this damn thing so I don't want that to happen haha. This way, I don't have to wait until you or someone else gets back on the forum to potentially fix whatever issue I may run into.

I know nothing about ROMs and how to load them either but that can be for another discussion b/c I'm sure it's the same all around. I was thinking Cyanogen 7.2 first b/c I've read it's pretty responsive and stable PLUS highly customizable which is one of my main reasons for rooting.... that along w/ battery life as I just ordered a Rezound battery to replace my stock one.

So yeah, sorry for the rambling but is there a possible list of issues or if I run into anything, should I just continue to search this thread and hope someone else has ran into it?

Sorry for being so naive and a newbie as well as reluctant haha.

Fantastic. It won't be tonight or possibly this weekend but hopefully in the near future. Am I expecting this to take no more than 15 minutes if all goes smoothly? Thank you very much.

i unrooted by follwoing the directions. extremely easy!! now to get a warranty replacement device b/c the 4g wont work on this one. hopefully rooting goes as easy as unrooting.

thanks again!!

so it ended up being a defective phone. got y new one today and rerooted. extrmely easy!!!! heck i think i could show my kid how to root with this tool.

as an fyi- DO NOT FORGET TO INSTALL SUPERUSER AFTER YOU ARE ROOTED!!

i was wondering why my wireless tether app wasnt working and it was b/c superuser was not loaded.

now to get rid of some bloatware

I pulled it up multiple times and it still doesnt recgnize my device when its plugged in on charge only mode... help???

I did everything in the tool. It said that it is successful. However, when I installed a app for Wi-Fi tether it says that I am not properly rooted. Where did I mess up? I don't think that I installed the CWM correctly. It says Flashing CWM and the fast boot screen comes up then nothing happens. If I select Recovery then the CWM screen comes up. What do I do from here? I just really don't want to mess up the phone so I am nervous about it.

Nothing to be nervous about. If you try option 6 in the extras menu does it also hang?

trter I am unrooting and the download of the files is taking what seems to be forever, should it take around 45 minutes? The reason for the unroot is that I cannot update folks in my football group local high school scores and listen to iHeart radio at the same time without some serious lag. I know this should be it's own topic. I apologize.

your program shows my phone as rooted but did not install superuser I installed and titanium back up but when i open tit backup it says there is no root or busy box and I installed busy box did I miss something?
