We know almost everything about it. The screen, the specs, the extra stuff.

Who wants one? Or will you still go with the One, S4, or even the Moto X?

I'm a spec guy, so from that perspective it has me intrigued. It needs to do something that my One can't do for me to want it bad enough to get it, though. I'm hoping that camera performance is awesome, because that's been a sore spot for LG for a little while now, and is the one area they consistently stumble.

I played with an Optimus G for Sprint a few months ago, and if the G2 is anything like that, I would probably get one. That screen was awesome.

I have no experience with LG hardware, but I am certainly interested. I have been sitting on an upgrade with VZW for several months to see what was coming. Still interested in the HTC One, waffling on the GS4 unless I can unlock and root. Now this comes along. What to do....?

What are the pros and cons with LG hardware?

I am interested in a G2. I like the quality of my Nexus 4 hardware, which has made me a fan of LG. Depending on what the G2 has to offer, I may purchase it or a Galaxy S4 Google Edition.

Snapdragon 800 + MicroSD sounds tempting.

From a spec standpoint, you may want to hold off then because it seems like Sony could be releasing a phone about the same time that could out-spec the G2.

Sony Honami 20-megapixel camera leaked online | Know Your Mobile

I was all about the G2 until I saw this thing, which on paper seems to match up pretty evenly with LG with the only exception being the camera, which is suppose to blow every smartphone camera out of the water (except for Nokia perhaps). Again, key word being "suppose". We don't know much about the G2 camera yet either.

Both these phone's are set to top the One, X and S4 regardless so I'm excited either way.

If the user end of the phone (after seeing reviews) is half as good as the specs then this will be my next phone.

For me the 5.2 inch screen and 32GB internal storage out weights the 20 mega pixel camera. Plus not sure the Sony will ever hit Verizon.

I'm interested for sure. There's been talk of it having 2GB or 3GB of ram. I'd be surprised to see 3. The US release dates seem to point to September but in Korea it could release as early as a day after announcment.

Well let's see, I moved to AT&T in early May, got the Optimus G Pro, really liked it but there were a few things about it that put me off so I sold it and got the Galaxy S4, liked that phone but the gimicky crap wore off pretty fast and I got the HTC One Developer Edition and now we are facing the G2, which by all accounts is really a perfect device from specs to OS.

S800 processor
32GB storage plus microSD
nano-SIM (ok but not critical)
13MP Camera - great, but what did they do to improve the camera beyond upping MP's?
2GB RAM (have read 3GB which would be nice to see them kick Samsung in the ballz on that one)
1080p HD IPS display is going to be sweet
Swappable battery

So I am thinking this is a sweet device that will fit nicely in between the small android's and phablets and still leave me wanting a tablet for bigger stuff.

What I really care about above all else is developer support, bootloader unlocking, root support, ROM development, etc. I will gladly put money down for Development support, so unless it's a rotten stinker of a phone on my B-Day (tomorrow) then I am GAME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are thinking GS4 GPe, I would suggest getting a GSM GS4 32GB version and then root, recovery and install the GPe OS on it. Its been done, I did it on the HTC One and much prefer it.

When its time to sell my HTC One I will offer it up as a 64GB GPe or they can have it back as a stock 4.1.2 Developer Edition and can do whatever their heart desires :)

It is rumored to have 32GB + microSD, yet we don't know the microSD slot capacity. Though it likely will be 64GB. I just wish 64GB was the minimum installed by Android OEM's, I mean LG could really gain some serious clout with the G2, well even more clout if they put 64GB+64GB microSD, then like BAM.

Being an LG Optimus G Pro owner for the past 4 months and satsified with EVERY SINGLE thing it does, i have always felt it would be sheer perfection IF ONLY it was a "skutch" smaller... (and come in white but my skin & pinstriping kinda takes care of that : ) So i am, MOST DEFINITELY, going to be all ova the new LG G2 :-*

I definitely think LG is the new black : )
