I have a Samsung Note S23 Ultra.
When in the office I set the notifications volume to low however I would like to hear my security camera app notification in case something happens.
Samsung help is useless.
Any ideals or work around?
Basically I want the app volume to be set to max at all times.

thx

Solution
Download Samsung good lock app from Galaxy store and use module called sound assistant

Do you have to hear the other notifications? If not, how about turning on Do Not Disturb, but setting your security camera app as an exception for notifications?

Unfortunately, there is no way to set the volume of notifications independently by app.

This was one thing that BlackBerry did that I dearly miss to this day.

Because of that, I had to create copies of the notifications I use, then open them in a sound editing app, adjust to volume and make most of my regular sounds quieter. Then, take the one sound I use for texts and make it a little louder. Name them with "(quiet)" added to the filename and save them back to the phone.

BTW, none of the sounds I use are any default Samsung sounds. All come from the BlackBerry 10 OS, with 2 coming from an even older BBOS phone dating back to 2007.

I have a good balance between, for example, my emails and app notifications sounds always being relatively quite, and texts loud enough for me to notice while in my pocket.

Now, if I'm in a meeting, I'll just put the phone on silent. But the screen turns on for any notifications, so I can at least see if I need to leave to answer it, or just ignore.

Not elegant, but works.

I will give it a try.
I will create a lower volume notification for general apps, and a louder one for the security camera.
Thx!
