Always on notifcation?

Can anyone show me an example of how text notifications and others will work with always on when you receive it, I am used to having a notification light and I want to make sure this isn't a deal breaker for me.

I don't have the v30 yet, I have the g6. Before the g6 I always had a phone with a notification light. Since the g6, with it's AOD I don't think I would get a phone without AOD. Love it now

My question too. I still miss a flashing LED that can be seen from across the room. The second screen on my V20 shows the message icon but it's not as easy to see as the old flashing LED. Will the AOD change that visibility?
