Am I alone thinking that the LG G6 doesn't get enough coverage?

The G6 flat display is superior to curved, the G6 LCD does not have a burn in issue and therefore superior, the camera is true to life and sharper, therefore superior, the choosers offer me no advantage one way or another and therefore it's a wash.

These are all opinions and since they vary user to user they are anything but fact. I'm not sure why you think your opinion is anymore a fact than mine but it isn't.
I'm not sharing opinions, you are. But since you're not reading the words, we can just move on. I get pretty sick of people lying about stuff like this. Objectivity and subjectivity are different things and it's dishonest and annoying to pretend that any person's preference can somehow invalidate objective measurements. It's annoying in every arena, not just phones. Facts are facts and can't be changed by just putting your fingers in your ears and repeating the same falsehood over and over. If you think I'm sharing opinions about this stuff, I'm not and you're either not reading or not comprehending what's being said. That should be a sign that it's time to re-read and try to understand what's going on. It's fine to prefer something over another; it's not fine to pretend facts are opinions. That's dishonest and insulting.

So I'm a liar because I have my own opinion and don't state them as facts? That's an interesting spin.

You have stated "facts" based on an opinion and nothing more. Hell you didn't even bother reading the original comment made and instead went on a tirade about how my opinion is wrong because you disagree with it. Next time I need to form an opinion I'll be sure to ask you for mine.

Shouldnt you be in the "superior" S8 forums with the rest of the elitists?

You are pretending that your personal preferences, ie. what you like better, somehow should trump the measurements of what's actually most accurate, what's actually faster, etc. It doesn't. I have stated no opinions about which device is better; I have made factual statements about specific features that are objectively better or worse between the two devices. I have not once said which one I like better, whether it be component wise or the entire device. The difference between stating, "I like x better than y" and "objective measurements have shown x to be better than y" is HUGE and the problem we're having is that you can't tell the difference.

And do not tell me where I can and cannot post. You can take your "elitist" bs somewhere else if you're done with this conversation. It's not "elitist" to insist on intellectual honesty in discourse or debate. If you're not familiar with the actual facts, then ask questions or do research. The information is readily available.

You formed your "facts" either by your opinion or by reading someone else's opinion piece. Nobody can determine which screen or camera is best for them besides them no matter how many times you shove your "facts" down their throat. The S8 is in no way better than the G6 to me and many others and therefore your facts are nothing more than your opinion.

As a "respected" member of this community this makes 2 times in the past 2 weeks I've read where you've forced your opinion as "fact" and came out looking a fool.

If you don't own a G6 then your opinion is about as meaningless as 64gb of storage for $250 is.

Your first sentence is a lie. Your second statement is true, but irrelevant because it's not what I'm talking about. Your third sentence is a lie.

Not sure what you're talking about in your 4th sentence. Please keep personal attacks out of your posts. If you have an issue with anything any member is posting, please hit the report button so the moderators can look at it.

Your last sentence is a lie.

I can prove everything I'm saying; you cannot. So, since you're unwilling to consider facts as objective, and I am unwilling to accept lies in place of truth, that puts us at an impasse. My strong recommendation is that we conclude this conversation. You were given a copy of the rules within the last 3 weeks. Reading those is a good idea.

You can prove my opinion is a lie and your opinion is anything more than an opinion? Please do.

After your flossy posts I'm not even sure why I'm replying to your nonsense. Clearly you have a hard time differentiating between opinion and fact.

Yes. Your first sentence was a lie, because 1) you have no idea where my facts came from and 2) they were definitively not formed by me just making anything up or reading someone else's opinion. You see, the quality of displays can be measured. Oh, but you should know that because you're an expert, right? The display of the S8 is the best display that's ever been on an Android device. That's an objective fact. So when I state that the measurements show the S8 is better, that' s because it's objectively true. That doesn't mean I like it better or that you should or anything like that. Preferences and the measurements are separate. Your second statement being irrelevant is obvious, because it's not on topic. Your third sentence concluded by stating that my facts are my opinions. This is false for the same reason it was in sentence one.

Not sure what Flossy has to do with anything. My factually true statements that he didn't like are not related at all to whether or not objective facts and subjective opinions are the same thing. I have no problem differentiating between opinions and facts. You're actually projecting your issue onto me now. I've been trying to explain the difference and to imply that the difference is important and you've repeatedly been dismissing facts in favor of opinions that contravene those facts.

Mod Note

I highly suggest personal attacks be taken out as we have zero need for them here. You can read more in the rules below. It isn't fair to the OP to have his thread closed down due to people not being able to keep the discussion professional versus having to go down the troll road of insults / belittling / etc.

This will be the only warning posted about it.

Returned my g6. I for one, refuse to support a company who thinks its ok to release a 32gb only model whith lesser proc while other markets get 64.

I do love my LG fridge though.

Why did you buy it in the first place?

We can definitely just agree to disagree.. but I am telling you for my needs 32 GB isn't enough. The phone is only 2 weeks old and I have used 20 so that would be 20 / 32 .. in 2 weeks .. yeah I will leave it at that :).

I have no music, photos or video on my internal memory

Again, those are your opinions that the display is better, or the camera is better. Many of us on here do not feel they are. So yes it is subjective to personal use and opinion. I feel the camera is better on the G6, the display is better to me on the G6 and I didn't notice any real world difference in the SoC. So I'm not sure why you think your opinion dictates fact but it doesn't no matter how you cut it.

As for the price, I paid $500 for the G6 and $850 for the S8+. Those prices are still true today and exactly what I compared to in my original post. Therefore the basis of my original post that you seem to be ignoring.

So again, in my comparison and original post, the question at this moment still remains. Do you feel $250 is justifiable for 32gb more internal storage that the majority of people won't ever need or use? The remaining comparisons between the 2 phones are irrelevant due to the fact that not everybody shares the same opinion as you in regards to "features" and specs.

It does not usually cost 250 more to double memory in a phone

Yep, there's a whole lot more different between these two devices than just storage and we're comparing a sale price to regular price - so it's not a 1 to 1 comparison.

The normal prices of these phones are $75 apart, which is pretty close to what we have seen in the past from a higher storage option for the same device. Nexus 6P was about $50 to go from 32 to 64 and $100 to go from there to $128; Moto charges $50 to go from 32 to 64, etc. So we could suppose that if the LG G6 had 64 base, it might be up to $50 more expensive, which would narrow the gap to $25.

The company that gouges you the most is Apple and they only charge about 100 dollars to jump to the next level of memory in general

To the OP. A lot of the tech review channels are ultimately choosing the G6 over the S8 as a total package
