AMAZING battery life!!!! Check it out!

I am extremely new to the Android world (always been a Blackberry man), and have had my EVO about 4 days... correct me if I am wrong but your screen shot seems to show that 82% of the time your phone is idle.

What good is being able to go 21+ hours on a charge if your hardly using it? Is the better measure of battery life the time since unplugged in conjunction with Awake Time from the Battery screen?

Awake Time seems to me to be the mark of how much you actually use your phone within a given "Since Unplugged" period of time.

Of course I am just going off of what I think I understand from reading these here forums, and would like to understand this topic a little better.

(100% - 82%) * 21 hours = using the phone for 3.8 hours ... you know, that's a lot for some of us!

I got 21h 56m with 4h 11m Awake Time and my battery level was at 10% according to Spare Parts battery info. GPS on, a little while with WiFi, Full brightness on screen. Much of it was web, market browsing for apps, and screwing around with various setups. Lots of time with the screen on basically.

Out of just about a full day to use the device for over 4 of those hours is a decent amount of usage.

I'm not in the complaining about EVO battery life camp, but it does take some getting used to coming from the Blackberry which went forever on a full charge. Of course I couldn't do half of what I can with the EVO on BBerry.

The best analogy I've seen is - You used to drive a Honda Civic, now you've bought a Ferrari and your complaining about the gas mileage.

Well, except that some would consider a phone with the longer battery life to be the higher-performing exotic vehicle.

1st charge with my replacement evo, running fresh 0.3....... only gonna get better since this has been the 1st charge through the new phone/battery!

Except that would be an improper line of thinking.

Long battery life = High gas mileage

High performance vehicles require more fuel to achieve and output higher horsepower and speed.

You can either not use the device and have long battery life, or use it to its capabilities and have to charge it more frequently.

Anyone who tried BakedSnack having issues with the SD Card unmounting? Mine keeps doing it randomly, and it requires me to reboot to get it mounted again.

i also got this and wouldn't flash anything or register anything on my SD card! i just rebooted and it's working now.....

just out of curiosity, what recovery are you using? Amon or Clockwork? I had an issue like that on another ROM and think clockwork is the culprit.

That's pretty much what it was for me. It would work fine after a reboot for several minutes, sometimes several hours, but then it would unmount again...the fail and reboot cycle got to be too much, so I went back to stock for the time being.
