I ordered thru sprint and best buy online to see who came first. Im gonna be pissed if more people get their phone dealing thru best buy storefronts before I get any of my 3 online preorders. Best buy emailed me it would be 4-30 days before they could ship it and I cannot cancel the order after having to pay sales tax, no gift card til activation and activation fee.

Sprint flatout canceled my preorder, saying the national launch date would be sooner than I could get my phone. Idk, wish I could cancel the best buy order too.

The novelty of having the newest phone before anyone else has worn off for me. I just want to get it before December 21st 2012.

It's BS that we have to beg to spend our money isn't it? Like I feel like I'm saying "Take my money, I want to spend" and they are saying "Noooooooooo." The minute that I hear something, I'l be posting here. So far nothing :/ I hope that something comes through this week. I also feel like Sprint has handled the launch poorly.

What I don't get is they were ready to launch on 05/18, then the customs fiasco, customs releases and all of a sudden Sprint doesn't have enough for the national launch? I don't get it. Did they have to hold more devices? Did they have to go back through and fix things? If they'd just let peeps know what's going on, we might not be so pissy.

Completely agree. Thing is if they had to go back and "fix" something it wouldn't take that long. The actual fix would only be 1 line of code to change the copyright infringement. I don't know if everyone knows that it is a very minor issue to deal with.

The US government is crazy slow about these things. They don't care how much they lose companies. So, maybe its that, but I sincerely doubt they are all at HTC being re-assembled.

The problem has to lie at customs. Just because the first ones cleared doesn't necessarily mean all the further shipments will too. That's all I get out of it.

See I wasn't sure how invasive it might be. I am with you, that's the only thing that makes sense. Maybe we should start back hammering them on twitter LOL. The only good thing that's come from this is I've met some pretty cool peeps in the forum. I was always leery about posting b/c of how forums can be... You know, flaming and arguing etc. I'm glad to see that AC is not like that. All we can do is hope that we hear some info today. I have my fingers, toes and eyes crossed! :p

I'm hoping for news today as well, but I'm expecting more of the same from amazon. No words and no action makes johnny a very dull boy!

This forum never struck me as like a 4chan, but u never know. I will probably get trolled just for mentioning it tho. Just in case, inb4 cancer, newf@gs and tri-forcing.

You'd think that if Customs were to blame for the current hold up, HTC & Sprint would make it clear that it's Customs 'fault' and not theirs...*shrug*
 
Neither one is making anything clear is what leads the speculation. They don't want people thinking their phones are pirated iphones either. Only other thing I can surmise is HTC doesn't have the phones to send, or Sprint is stockpiling for a national launch...

I also called in and the CS rep I spoke to didn't have any updates either. Seems like they aren't being provided any information from management. He did upgrade my shipping from two-day to one-day and provided me with a $15 credit to my account. 134.99 for the phone isn't bad.

I would like to have a new phone, but at the same time I can wait until I receive.

My email today got the same old response and even mentioned upgrading my shipping which was already done.. they are gonna have to do better than this ....
 
They just made your 2 orders one. They did that to me about a week ago too and it changed all my stuff to like may 25th or something. Then a few days later it changed back. Sorry, wish it meant they were shipping it may 31st.

They deducted your account or given u shipping info yet? No one at Amazon knows jack. I'm sure if they knew all our orders would be updated.

Well that makes me a little bit hopeful. I hope that mine will update eventually. Did you get an email for the update? I've not received a single one since they changed my charger deliv date last week.

I wish I had further news for you. The reason we're not shipping these Evo LTE phones is that we don't yet have them in stock. But we are expected to have them in stock imminently. The reason for our seeming lack of feedback is simply, we have no further information yet.
