Interestingly enough, my Pixel 3 XL prompted me for driving mode, but I turned it off cuz I use Android auto in my car, so that's about it. But it's there under connected services.Has anyone opted in to the Driving Mode? Just curious.
Is that the real Driving Mode that Google announced for the Summer of 2019? Where it actually allows for hands free texting, etc? The current Driving mode just launches DND (or Android Auto if your vehicle has an applicable system).Has anyone opted in to the Driving Mode? Just curious.
That's what I'm doing to. I might check them out again but I found bubbles a bit annoying.Yup, I just pull down the notification tab from the top and either respond there or go directly into the app.
I had a terrible experience with 10 beta. 11 beta has been perfect (for me) since the first release. After reading a lot of positive experiences and not many serious bugs I went ahead and opted in to the beta. I'm up & running Android 11, seems to be running as smooth as everyone has said it is. I didn't want to jump in right away with my daily driver phone, but what's the absolute worse that can happen....I have to roll back to 10 and factory reset? I guess I could live with that.
Yeah, I agree! I might pick up 3XL, when I had Android 10 betas on my phone, Android Auto was completely broken, and my phone was definitely much more buggy than Android 11 beta. Even though my Gboard is crashing in beta 3, overall experience in the Android 11 beta program has been far much more enjoyable!I had a terrible experience with 10 beta. 11 beta has been perfect (for me) since the first release.
My Gboard had been fine. Maybe it's just in those apps or bubbles you're trying to use.Yeah, I agree! how yeah it is. I mean in every other app but the Android messages chat bubbles, Gboard on my phone is absolutely fine. I just love using the chat bubble so much!My Gboard had been fine. Maybe it's just in those apps or bubbles you're trying to use.
When you receive a regular message notification, on the bottom right hand side of that notification you might see a little blue square with an arrow pointing to the right side. Click that and that will automatically bubble that conversation.I wanted to try Bubbles just to see it for myself. What am I doing wrong? I enabled it in the phone Settings and enabled all conversations can bubble in Messages and all new texts still come through as a normal notification, no bubble anywhere on the screen.
Thanks. I'm not seeing that. I'll keep clicking around and maybe another reboot. When you receive a regular message notification, on the bottom right hand side of that notification you might see a little blue square with an arrow pointing to the right side. Yeah, try rebooting your phone once or twice. Let us know what happens.Thanks. I'm not seeing that. I'll keep clicking around and maybe another reboot.

That's the Drive Mode that has been around for a while on Pixels. If you use Android Auto it opens something Android Auto related, I'm not sure what. If your Bluetooth connection isn't Android Auto compatible it just auto launches Do Not Disturb when enabled. It's listed under Connected devices/Bluetooth,driving mode, NFC. Then go to Connection devices/Connection preferences. If you tap on Driving mode, a screen comes up "Use driving mode." I have no idea what it is capable of.

I'm still waiting for the dedicated hands free Assistant powered Driving Mode that Google teased in the Spring of 2019 and said would be released in the Summer of 2019.
I was able to get it back. Something strange happened to my Location settings. I verified that Location Accuracy and Location History were both On. But when I opened the Google app and manually typed "weather" it prompted me to turn on Location Accuracy, so I selected OK. Then I cleared the cache for the Google app and Pixel Launcher and did a Force Stop on the Pixel Launcher. I rebooted and now At A Glance shows weather again.I just noticed this morning that my weather info disappeared from the At A Glance widget. I tap that every morning to check the weather. Did Google remove this with Android 11? Or just a glitch with my phone?
