So, I have been using that just real quick double tap on the back of the phone setting to open up my Jersey Strong gym app, but then I thought to myself just now why don't just have it on my home screen, it's not like you have that many icons on my home screen anyway... Does anyone use this setting? I know we can launch Google Assistant by the setting, but there are many ways to activate Google Assistant on the phone. Pressing the only power button, saying the catch phrase, etc....
I originally set it for screenshot but accidentally took tons of pictures because it's so sensitive. So I turned it off.

I have it set to require harder taps and that feels like it should be a safeguard. I have to tap the fingerprint sensor, it doesn't register through the case

Oh, I didn't realize you can adjust the tap hardness.

Honestly, I just turned mine off. I just press and hold down on power button + volume down button the old school android way to take a screen shot, and that does the trick.

Yeah that's how I normally do it but for me usually takes two hands since I'm not all that coordinated. This seems like it might be a timesaver (I know, first world problems, right?) But I can always change it to something else. The beauty of having options...

Yeah, these are definitely Android Geek problems, that's for sure. For me, I'm just soo used to the two button method at this point....

Somehow I never even realized that was a thing. Just set mine for screenshot, I'm always screen capping memes to send to my kids. We have some epic meme wars
I wish it was available for the Pixel 4a. I would also use it for screenshots. Seems far more convenient than fiddling with the two button method.

I don't know if this is off topic or new to 4.1 but I just noticed the hands move on the clock icon. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me so I watched it. Sure enough the hands do move. I never noticed that before.

I feel like I've seen that before 12

Anyone notice a delay in app notifications. MS Teams and Google Home using new Doorbell battery in particular. Notifications can be delayed by up to 20minutes sometimes. Have checked notifications settings all on and battery optimisation turned off?

I haven't noticed that myself.

Make sure your battery optimizer didn't turn off background notifications

Yeah I use it for screenshots but it stopped working in beta 4 for me. It seems to be working with the 4.1 update although it is still finicky. Have to bash it a few times. The sensitivity has been lowered too much.

Another episode of In Depth Tech Reviews - New Features, Tips & Hints Episode 31.
This is a mix bag of Android 11, 12 and iOS (hint)

The Assistant and YouTube features are very nice. I posted in another thread about the new Assistant Routine feature.
I haven't been able to get the new Assistant "Day Long" routine feature to work for my needs. I reported it to Google. Right now it's much ado about nothing. Pity.

As I think about Android 12 UI and dark mode, I'm realizing more for myself that dark mode for Android isn't completely black. It shows a dark gray which looks weird with material you auto-theming, if you think about it. Basically, what I'm saying is that if you quickly toggle between light mode and dark mode with your theme color choice, dark mode goes out the colors a lot. If you leave your phone in light mode, the material you theme color is really shine bright.
