I have the material you themed Gmail mentioned in this article, I believe. The compose button and meet. But I could be wrong.
I have the same as you. A nice touch indeed. I did get an gmail update the other day tho, not sure if that triggered it or not.

You should just get the beta now why wait? Completely stable in my opinion anyway especially this close to the release next month. This is the best OS upgrade yet for Android. There may be one more beta release between now and then. Probably next Wednesday if not today.

Damn these take forever. Still only halfway through optimizing apps.

It took me 1 hour and 45 minutes and all good on my 4xl. Fortunately, one can still use the phone during the installation.

My Pixel 5 took forever just as everyone else's phone took. So far, it's of course smoother but none of the bugs I reported to Beta feedback have been fixed: in "vibrate only" mode, there's STILL NO status bar ion for vibrate ONLY silent all mode. Also, the always on lock screen isn't always in material you theming. Apps are of course smoother, and the new universal search is kind of cool. It's really you use the universal search by swiping up into the app draw, or you just leave your most used apps still on your homescreen as normal. I'm still trying to figure out what I'll be doing about that. The new calculator app is pretty nice looking.
