Google assistant works but if you click on Google assistant settings in the settings app it crashes.

Some Google Assistant app settings can be reached through Settings->Default Apps-> Digital Assistant App.
However there isn't any access to functions such as Routines. You can get to Routines by searching for it in settings.

Maybe wait until more usage and should see under screen or tap those 3 dogs to upper right?
Tapping those doesn't show anymore than the 2nd screen. Maybe later this evening.
But.. hey..if we install a beta then we are beta testers and shouldn't expect a bug free experience. Despite the bugs I'm really liking the new look and the way it functions.

Tapping on the Telegram notification doesn't open the app. I can reply in the notification.
Maybe a Android 12 Beta Bug thread should be started?

May be Google got tired with people comparing each other's screen on time and complaining (which varies based on million factors)

Google can't stop Accubattery from taking it's place...or can they.

Running pretty smooth so far on a 4a. None of my 3rd party launchers work properly but I didn’t think they would so no surprise there. Good news is all of the apps I use on a daily basis seem to be working fine. Im liking the new ui look and glad I decided to try the beta. I knew I wouldn’t be able to resist :)

I am running the inside build of Niagara Launcher (unreleased alpha version) and so far it works beautifully. No stutters, all elements are working and it is as good as it was on Android 11. I fed it back to the developer already.

Here is a demo in a GIF of the Niagara Launcher inside build. I know it is fast. But if you click on it it slows down properly.

I have that launcher and have not tried it yet actually. Glad to hear it is working well. It is one that I like. Nova, kept freezing on me so I stopped using it. Currently on Smart launcher and it messed up a couple of times and then seem to settle down and has been fine so far.
I was most concerned about my banking apps and some others that I use daily, was prepared to do a workaround if they weren't usable but happily they are all working well.

The only bug so far I've noticed is I need to pull my Gmail manually. All settings are appropriate and if it keeps up I'll report it as a bug, also wondering if anyone else has the problem.

I just accidentally duo called my daughter at 6.40am. I realised and tried to cancel it but there was no app, no entry in the notification shade. It kept ringing but I couldn't turn it off. When she answered it disconnected by itself. I had some apologising to do.

Battery time since last charge is incorrect. The battery settings show 5 hours since last charge. Not true. Accubattery shows correct time of 7.53 hours.
I'm going to clear battery cache and start over.

Here is a great video from "In Depth Tech Reviews". Interestingly some changes/features that he shows seem to be missing from my Beta12. Maybe these will show up later or it's a difference in countrys.

Just found the screen on time dashboard.
Go to Settings -> Apps-> scroll down and there is screen on time. Tap that and there is the Dashboard. Individual app screen on time can be shown.

Android 12 Beta

I'm really getting the itch to try out the new beta that's been released on my 4a 5G. Just wondering if anyone else has taken the plunge, and what your experience has been so far?

Going well so far, was concerned that it may have screwed my banking apps (Lloyds and Barclays UK) but all fine

One caveat to my above post. The screen on time includes time the screen is on during charging. It doesn't reset. To do that the phone needs to be restarted right after it reaches 100%. PIA
Also when the phone is restarted the screen brightness defaults to full.
